Steak Salad With Schwartz

(Sponsored Post)

Working from home I often find I have the same things for lunch over and over again. The same ham sandwich. The same cheese on toast. The same soup. I've actually had soup so often that I currently can't even look at it, but I do like a warm lunch, especially on winter days.

Balancing the working from home life though, I don't want to spend ages cooking a hot lunch or tidying up after it! I'm all for something easy and quick but obviously tasty too. A lunch that can be quickly prepped, can be popped in the oven, cooked and come out perfect without being watched constantly. Minimal effort but great taste.

With this in mind I've come up with this easy to make steak salad. It's full of flavour and to be honest I could do with some leaves in my life!!

Peachy Victoria Sponge

(Sponsored Post)

I love a nice Victoria sponge. It's one of the first cakes I mastered as a teen and is often my 'go to' bake. I always make this one from scratch too and there's no packet mix in sight!

With the cold and dull days though I thought I'd make a nice Victoria sponge that could brighten the mood!

Fancy giving this a try?

What Do With Pumpkin Leftovers!!

With pumpkins in season over the autumn months they are a key part of Halloween celebrations. The supermarkets and greengrocers are full of them and many of us will buy one to carve with the kids.

When carving a pumpkin though, the mushy filling can often go to waste but what can you do with it? Well, here's some ideas on what to do with pumpkin leftovers!

The Dishes You Should Have Mastered By The Time You Turn 30

Collaborative Post

Cooking is often seen as a basic life skill and something that we all need to learn, and it's not just for the enjoyment of food. Being able fill your tummy and nourish yourself is part of being what I call a proper grownup! Not being able to cook will cause you to rely on takeouts and convenience foods, which are usually filled with all the bad stuff and aren't good for you.

Ideally by the time you're an adulting adult of 30 you will have mastered some of the basics of cooking and enjoy it. You may have even mastered a couple of signature dishes that are your go to when cooking for friends or family. But if you're reading this and thinking I'm not quite up to that level yet don't worry! As long as you can master these dishes you are off to a good start in the kitchen!

Popcorn Shed

Gifted

National Popcorn Day is approaching and we're big fans of popcorn!

We regularly have a family movie night and popcorn is always one of the treats we have. Daddy and Joseph like sweet and salted, but I prefer the toffee kind so we often have a variety.

When I heard about all the different flavours that Popcorn Shed had created we were all keen to give them a try and there was definitely lots of ooooooosss when the gifted box of popcorn arrived!

Cinnamon & Sultana Cookies

Cookies. Chocolate chip, fudge, cherry, we love cookies. We probably love them enough to rival the Cookie Monster!!

When I bake cookies I'm always the best mummy and wife ever, and I also become very popular with family and friends. I decided I wanted to try a new recipe and I'm glad I did as these are yummy!

Lemon Curd Cupcakes

My husband is a huge fan of lemon cake. Unfortunately though, due to a strange allergy I have, lemon cake is something we rarely have in the house.

Back in May when I attended BlogOn, a bloggers conference, we were gifted a pouch of the Cake Angels lemon icing and when I got home my husband's eyes lit up! He's waited a while but I've finally got round to making some lemon cake!

You'll see from the recipe that there's no lemon zest or juice and that's so I can avoid handling it. I went with lemon curd as an alternative and easy option for lemon flavouring.

These are the results and according to my husband they are the best cakes I've made! EVER!!! I will admit I had some help from our 4 year old though!
