Gifted
National Popcorn Day is approaching and we're big fans of popcorn!
We regularly have a family movie night and popcorn is always one of the treats we have. Daddy and Joseph like sweet and salted, but I prefer the toffee kind so we often have a variety.
When I heard about all the different flavours that Popcorn Shed had created we were all keen to give them a try and there was definitely lots of ooooooosss when the gifted box of popcorn arrived!
We've been lucky to try the Salted Caramel, Pecan Pie, Butterly Nuts, Pop 'n' Choc, Say Cheese, Sweet Cheesus and Berrylicious. Packaged in shed type boxes, as well as snack bags, the Popcorn Shed flavours are super tasty and unique.
Joseph's favourite was the Pop 'n' Choc, chocolate coated popcorn. Mine and Daddy's was definitely the Salted Caramel, so much so that I got creative and made us some yummy popcorn bites!!
Want to try them too? You'll need.............
- Popcorn Shed Salted Caramel Popcorn
- Marshmallows
- White chocolate
- Milk chocolate
- Golden syrup
- Saucepan
- Mixing bowl
- Jug or microwaveable bowl
- Tablespoon
- Large spoon
- Baking tray or plate
- Greaseproof paper
Start by lining the tray or plate with greaseproof paper. Then place two handfuls of marshmallows and a tablespoon of golden syrup into the pan and melt on a low heat, stirring often.
Stir immediately and until the mixture starts to bind.
Once it's sticking together use your hands to make the mixture into balls and layout onto the tray or plate.
Place in the fridge to set for 5 to 10 minutes. Then in either a microwave or over a pan of water melt the chocolate.
Place back in the fridge to cool. Your yummy Popcorn Shed snack balls will be ready to eat in around 20 minutes!
