It’s a look and a feel that you are going for, so do you really need to spend the money on the real thing? </span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;">Here are a few additions and changes you can make to your home to give it that posh feeling.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifMiHGGNR2GPFbgLCEaD9ydJlQ9OLlLB_WG-bYgijEJGX6RBUVhGPqgXVZDkrLHYSNa1bsm73UOf88cYU1eMdplEqdV-JrffBstti8ceo3s-S3XaWXJacEL4HGtDJRQzfnUYE9R1Giw6jxsKINcuDvrLImZWcDY2sJO0rrNfWc0Kq0FWhDh4dMIAQUxA/s5600/Interiors.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Side table showing books, with a cup and saucer and a vase" border="0" data-original-height="5600" data-original-width="4480" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifMiHGGNR2GPFbgLCEaD9ydJlQ9OLlLB_WG-bYgijEJGX6RBUVhGPqgXVZDkrLHYSNa1bsm73UOf88cYU1eMdplEqdV-JrffBstti8ceo3s-S3XaWXJacEL4HGtDJRQzfnUYE9R1Giw6jxsKINcuDvrLImZWcDY2sJO0rrNfWc0Kq0FWhDh4dMIAQUxA/w512-h640/Interiors.jpg" title="Affordable Ways to Make Your Home Look Expensive" width="512" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span><a name='more'></a></span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"> <br /><b>Light Fixtures<br /></b>An ordinary light bulb just doesn’t cut it. A fixture is always placed over the bulb to add to the decor, to add to the ambiance, and to show price. A simple, yet elegant light fixture can add a bit of style to your house to make it look more expensive. Iron fixtures, modern fixtures, ceiling fans, and chandeliers can all be added to rooms to up the appearance of your home and make it look more luxurious.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"> <br /><b>Landscaping<br /></b>The right landscaping can make your home look like a resort. Carefully trimmed and edged lawns bordered with flower beds make a home look chic. Cherry blossoms planted on property bloom beautifully in the spring and are a gorgeous green in the summer. With the right kind of shrubbery, your home can look like it’s worth millions of dollars, but really it’s just affordable landscaping.<br /><br />It doesn’t cost much to have it maintained, and you can plant the flowers yourself to save money. If you don’t have a green thumb, have flowers planted that will return year after year, and all that needs to be done is maintenance.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"> <br /><b>Build a Fake Book Wall</b><br />All you need to build a fake book wall is several books cases lined up next to each other. If you have the space, get a few low sets of drawers that you can put next to each other. After you have done that, you can then put the bookshelves on top of the drawers and the entire wall will look as if the shelves are built into the wall. <br /><br />This is a very easy way to make your extra room or living room look like a library. This idea is part of several<a href="https://www.familyhandyman.com/list/12-incredible-ikea-hacks/"> IKEA hacks</a> that you can use in your home.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"> <br /><b>Fancy Furniture</b><br />Just because something looks fancy doesn’t mean it is fancy. You can get tables and chairs made from materials that would make someone think you spent a fortune on something. The best trick is to go to antique stores or vintage stores and pick up pieces of furniture that are selling for close to nothing but are still in great condition. <br /><br />Wooden furniture always adds class to a home as do <a href="https://shawcross.co.uk/collections/dining-sets/marble">marble dining sets</a>. Marble is seen as one of those materials that abound in expensive mansions, but in reality, these tables do not cost an arm and a leg. <br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Modernize Fixtures<br /></b>Your faucets, handles, knobs, and doorknobs all tell a story of their own. When attention is paid to the small details of a home, everything looks glamorous. Update all of your fixtures and your home will look more expensive. Carefully crafted and designed faucets in the kitchen and bathroom make both rooms look fancy. New doors and cabinet doors also give a fresh look to rooms that need a facelift. <br /><br />A lot of great looking fixtures are affordable, can be found at your local hardware store or department hardware store, and nine times out of ten, you can install them yourself.<br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Change Your Countertops<br /></b>Granite countertops can make any kitchen seem regal. With the right granite color coupled with the right color cabinet, your kitchen will look as if you spent a fortune to have it redone. Go a bit further and add slow-closing hinges to your cabinet doors and drawers, and you will be giving your kitchen the most modern design that every kitchen seems to have. <br /><br />When you add the new countertop to the new fixtures, visitors will go into your kitchen and think they have stepped into the lap of luxury. <br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Wainscot and Molding<br /></b>Wainscot around the bottom of walls or frame molding around the middle of walls is a throwback to the rich homes of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Both of these design choices add a sense of style, class, and organization to a home. Add some crown molding around light fixtures and around doorways, and your home will look as if you had it personally built and designed by a major architect. <br /><br />Any place in your home where you can add a bit of style will turn your entire room around. Remember, luxury and wealth are just an image. Any home can look rich even if you’re not. </span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Mummy Snowy Owl</b></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>xx</b></span></div></div>

This means that taking an active approach towards planning for potential emergency situations can be worthwhile, be that a broken pipe starting to flood your bathroom, or pests that may come without you really noticing.<br /><br />Budgeting for emergency home repairs, in the same way you might prepare for a car breakdown, is a good idea. This might just be used during a rushed morning where you lose your keys on the train, or perhaps it could be to repair weather damage after a particularly intensive storm.<br /><br />Whatever the reason, having a few homeowner provisions in place to prepare and have your problem attended to is a great way to get started. In this post, we hope to discuss how to achieve that approach and more, and what kind of <a href="https://www.mummysnowyowl.com/2022/03/summer-essentials-for-your-daughter.html">positive effect</a> it can have. </span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfjWxnUONH8g1c7oh8JRR22MXs9VnP0dPV0bXeA0TM2T5-k5VdXtV7wE_812LmHQ2cEQH6IFTe8LcjkUd4e4mCeVkVcRW7EgIErhkylMRNRUU9yZJvI-seKAHPYlthxG8FsmVGsSam8nvGcWINsBy839ueANYCJTD1hIh1rDRJ8Z2yiUPWhlK_CyZiuA/s5641/Home%20Emergency.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Detached white house" border="0" data-original-height="3346" data-original-width="5641" height="381" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfjWxnUONH8g1c7oh8JRR22MXs9VnP0dPV0bXeA0TM2T5-k5VdXtV7wE_812LmHQ2cEQH6IFTe8LcjkUd4e4mCeVkVcRW7EgIErhkylMRNRUU9yZJvI-seKAHPYlthxG8FsmVGsSam8nvGcWINsBy839ueANYCJTD1hIh1rDRJ8Z2yiUPWhlK_CyZiuA/w640-h381/Home%20Emergency.jpg" title="How To Budget For Emergency Home Repairs" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div><span style="font-family: arial;">Here's a few ideas.......</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span></span><span><a name='more'></a></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Keep An Emergency Fund</b><br />Keeping an emergency fund to hand will enable you to fix issues should they arise. In some cases, it might be that fixes catch you unaware and they require much more in the way of spending to resolve completely. It might be worth taking <a href="https://mortgagequote.com/loans-for-bad-credit-online.php">loans for bad credit online</a> now if it means that resolving an issue that could haunt you for a year is assured and the monthly payments are feasible on your end. <br /><br /><b>Source The Right Contacts</b><br />Having a list of good contractors is ideal in being ready to deal with an emergency. This means managing the expectations and services of the most popular repair outfits in your area, from locksmiths to those willing to come and deal with pests immediately. Once you have these in your address book, you don’t have to worry about sourcing them immediately when stressed by an emergency, and also have a somewhat basic idea of how general service call out charges will be. This way, you can ensure that you’re ready to pay them for their work no matter the work that needs to be done.<br /><br /><b>Take Preventative Work Seriously</b><br />Taking preventive work as seriously as possible can prevent small issues from becoming large issues. A slight pipe drip right now might be annoying, but it could easily graduate to a full leak, and then annoyance will be something you long for. This way, you can save money in the long run, by making sure you have the funds to have issues seen to now. For instance, calling a pest control service to make preventative traps and to spray certain areas of the home is certainly more useful than having to clear out of the space while it is tented and fumigated. As with all financial matters, a little foresight is absolutely crucial.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;">With this advice, you’re certain to budget for emergency home repairs in the best possible light.<br /></span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><i>Mummy Snowy Owl</i></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><i>xx</i></span><br /><br /><p dir="ltr" style="line-height: 1.38; margin-bottom: 0pt; margin-top: 0pt;"><br /></p></div></div></div>

Take some time to plan a lovely dress and matching accessories for the upcoming special occasions. </span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;">Here are some tips to consider!<br /><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjf24MraOe0RuByJicjDadDyU4xwux8Sv9dy3dAui7M4K42pvfXIgy6mdCdQJ2x6QSJ74NMmp9oFQDjsBv-B2aR3ZIZLJ-fYfAC4wug-nIEoi1ZwkwDAnkwJ4depwYRSY1Ti_Ja2OFTjXWKiSSyTxyMd_xJ1uNrbUTiJUJQoB5j2e2XW-fkMHAXFQbww/s4608/Summer%20Daughter.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Little girl with braided hair, looking out over a straw field" border="0" data-original-height="3072" data-original-width="4608" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjf24MraOe0RuByJicjDadDyU4xwux8Sv9dy3dAui7M4K42pvfXIgy6mdCdQJ2x6QSJ74NMmp9oFQDjsBv-B2aR3ZIZLJ-fYfAC4wug-nIEoi1ZwkwDAnkwJ4depwYRSY1Ti_Ja2OFTjXWKiSSyTxyMd_xJ1uNrbUTiJUJQoB5j2e2XW-fkMHAXFQbww/w640-h426/Summer%20Daughter.jpg" title="Summer Essentials For Your Daughter" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /><span><a name='more'></a></span><br /></span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Something Lovely To Wear</b><br />Some days your little one wants to wear a tee-shirt and shorts. On other days, she hopes for a beautiful dress. Look for high-quality <a href="https://alittlelacey.com.au/">girls' summer dresses</a> for your special summer event. She will look lovely in a fun, well-made frock that will flow around her as she spins and twirls.<br /><br />Choose a dress for a special occasion that will be picture perfect. Or you can take family photos with your daughter styled in a coordinating new dress. These dresses are well-suited for summer weddings and parties, as well.<br /><br /><br /><b>Something Pretty Or Cool And Functional To Carry</b><br />A summer essential is definitely a rucksack, backpack, or purse. Spend some time with your child and help them decide what fun colours or patterns they wish to select. Are they interested in drawstring closures, zippers, padded shoulder straps, etc? Is a water-bottle holder necessary? Once you have your details narrowed down, it is time to go shopping for this fun new accessory.<br /><br />No matter their age, it is (almost) never too early to introduce your little one to the merits and <a href="https://schoolhouse-daycare.co.uk/blog/why-you-should-encourage-independence/">responsibilities</a> of carrying their own belongings. There are so many benefits to behold.<br /><br />If you have a child who wishes to bring most of their worldly possessions with them when leaving the house for any amount of time having them pack their own rucksack will work wonders. They will need to spend some time with the concept of only bringing that which they can comfortably carry. Once they get used to this idea, leaving the house will be a quicker affair than before because they will understand what items will fit in their pack.<br /><br />And, finally, your load becomes a little bit lighter. At least that will be the case until they get tired and you are carrying both your child and their rucksack in your arms! Remember to <a href="https://www.verywellfamily.com/use-caution-when-labeling-kid-items-617176">label</a> the rucksack on the inside with your name and contact information should it be misplaced or forgotten on one of your adventures.<br /><br /><br /><b>Something To Protect</b><br />With the warm summer rays comes a need to protect your child's eyes. Spending more time outdoors in the sunlight means more exposure to the sun’s rays. You already know about proper sunscreen and sunblock usage, but what about eye protection? This is where sunglasses come into use. <br /><br />Encourage your child to wear well-fitting sunglasses when they are outdoors during the day. Invest in a few pairs to mix and match with summer clothing. Find a fun and stylish pair of sunglasses to wear with their new summer dress for a special occasion. The photos will be adorable.<br /><br />If there is any hesitancy in wearing sunglasses, show this encouraging video to your kids.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><iframe allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/fZIFAM9j7G4" title="YouTube video player" width="560"></iframe></span></div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br />Once your little one has the dress of her dreams, a bag to carry her special belongings, and sunglasses to protect her eyes it is time to check a couple more things off of the list. Remember to find a pair of comfortable yet stylish and matching shoes along with some pretty jewellery.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;">Now she is all set for the <a href="https://www.mummysnowyowl.com/2018/08/summer-spotters.html">summer</a> fun that is yet to come.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Mummy Snowy Owl</b></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>xx</b></span><br /><p> </p></div></div>Mummy Snowy Owlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04210178013070060164noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6691840108551744843.post-21931791203036105772022-03-21T19:00:00.001+00:002022-03-22T00:00:47.780+00:00What To Put In Place For A Secure Tomorrow<p><span style="font-family: arial; font-size: xx-small;"><i>(Collaborative Post)</i></span></p><span style="font-family: arial;">It's a question that all parents eventually face: what do we need to do to ensure our children have a secure future? While there is no one-size-fits-all answer, there are some basic things you can put in place to give your family the best chance for a bright tomorrow.<br /><br /></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiXhFdK36huu6p9Q-OKlSJqjh4TZcPPCZi7du4FsWalUr_3QTexko3-ZkxWURvqxwpfn4JzIpCrqu8Bg1Sm-qciO3xLmI0VgAAeC8cN39_fpvwsu1sU-YxcuaPzwl0vhIIg9znzHN20BFlRFOcqnR0zs5eGZ5JQH-c5EfL2SycvOPhtWlEp8ESuzh_t-Q=s6000" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><img alt="Silhoute of a family walking on a beach" border="0" data-original-height="4000" data-original-width="6000" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiXhFdK36huu6p9Q-OKlSJqjh4TZcPPCZi7du4FsWalUr_3QTexko3-ZkxWURvqxwpfn4JzIpCrqu8Bg1Sm-qciO3xLmI0VgAAeC8cN39_fpvwsu1sU-YxcuaPzwl0vhIIg9znzHN20BFlRFOcqnR0zs5eGZ5JQH-c5EfL2SycvOPhtWlEp8ESuzh_t-Q=w640-h426" title="What To Put In Place For A Secure Tomorrow" width="640" /></span></a></div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /><span><br /></span></span><div><span><span style="font-family: arial;"><a name='more'></a></span></span></div><div><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Financial Security</span></b></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;">One of the most important things you can do is start saving early. It may seem like a difficult task when you're struggling to make ends meet, but setting aside even a small amount each month will add up over time. A good rule of thumb is to save at least ten percent of your income; if you can manage more, great! But don't put so much strain on yourself that you can't stick to the plan.<br /><br />Another key element of financial security is to make sure you have adequate insurance coverage. This includes things like health, life, and disability <a href="https://www.onlinemoneyadvisor.co.uk/insurance/life-insurance/">insurance</a>. If something happens and you're unable to work, you need to know your family will be cared for.<br /><br /></span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Estate Planning</b><br />Estate planning is something many people put off because it can be confusing and overwhelming. But it's essential to have your affairs in order, just in case. <a href="https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/family/death-and-wills/wills/#:~:text=It%20is%20important%20to%20make%20a%20will%20because%3A,and%20possessions%20to%20be%20distributed">Putting a will in place</a> is one of the most crucial things you can do. Without a will, the state will decide how your assets will be distributed, which may not be in line with your wishes.<br /><br />You should also consider setting up a trust. This can be a great way to provide for your family without subjecting them to the probate process. Trusts can be used for education expenses, health care costs, and more.<br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Establish A Support Network</b><br />No one can do it all alone, and that's especially true when it comes to raising a family. Building a support network of family and friends can be invaluable. These are the people who will be there for you when times are tough. They'll help you celebrate the good times and pick you up when you're down.<br /><br />Of course, your spouse or partner should be your most significant source of support. Working together as a team will make everything easier. When you need it, you can lean on each other and offer a shoulder to cry on when the going gets tough.<br /><br />It's not just friends and family you need for support; you need a network of professionals to help you with the various aspects of life. This might include financial advisors, <a href="https://www.bannisterpreston.co.uk/services/family-law/">family law solicitors</a>, doctors, and therapists. You can go to these people for advice and guidance when you need it.<br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Communication<br /></b>It's essential to keep the lines of communication open with your family, especially as your children grow older. Talk to them about your plans and what you expect of them. Let them know they can come to you with any questions or concerns they may have.<br /><br />It can also be helpful to have a family meeting once in a while to connect and make sure everyone is on the same page. This is a great time to discuss things like financial goals, college plans, and anything else that might be going on in your life.<br /><br />Putting these things in place may not seem like much, but they can make a difference in your family's future. By taking the time to plan, you can give your loved ones the gift of peace of mind. And that's priceless.</span></div></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Mummy Snowy Owl</span></b></div><div><b><span style="font-family: arial;">xx</span></b></div>

They can’t be cooped up inside all day, even if this works better for you. One of the things that you can do is open the back door and let them play outside though. Sit by the door and supervise while doing whatever it is that you need to be doing. This way, everyone is happy! But, you need to make sure that <a href="https://www.gardeningetc.com/advice/how-to-design-a-child-friendly-garden">your garden is safe</a> for your little ones to play in before you can let them out, which is exactly what we’re going to be taking a look at in this article. </span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;">Keep reading down below if you would like to find out more.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgDsbE3CCNw15dQBC9l4mKQ6UawZnHUe_whF74OrPlJ1w67XXup2HBmuKtAb7eGxjuYCzoirGkgM2TwXAGo47mCjodNm1K4J_tb9Nh6TCUDmrNIGdutTchu_5ei_dwNV4VmD4zom9uNAqbS3wHAhOqaopAvmLcct5H-Jnj5KMQ1jRQQoBdJS6g4sFRGBg=s4016" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Little boy and girl sitting in a wooden deck chair" border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4016" height="482" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgDsbE3CCNw15dQBC9l4mKQ6UawZnHUe_whF74OrPlJ1w67XXup2HBmuKtAb7eGxjuYCzoirGkgM2TwXAGo47mCjodNm1K4J_tb9Nh6TCUDmrNIGdutTchu_5ei_dwNV4VmD4zom9uNAqbS3wHAhOqaopAvmLcct5H-Jnj5KMQ1jRQQoBdJS6g4sFRGBg=w640-h482" title="Keeping Your Garden Safe For Your Little Ones To Play In" width="640" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /><br /><span><a name='more'></a></span><span><br /></span></span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Keep The Trees In Good Shape</b><br />First, you need to ensure that you are keeping the trees in the best possible shape. You might not think this is a concern but if you have a stump in your garden, this can be dangerous. If you have trees with branches that look stable but aren’t, your kids might try to climb them which is also extremely dangerous. It’s for this reason that you should be using the services of a company like <a href="https://sydneytreecompany.com.au/">Sydneytreecompany.com.au</a>. Hiring professionals to ensure that trees and stumps are either safe or removed is essential for the peace of mind that you need to send your kids out into the garden.<br /><br /><b>Try To Avoid Stones Where Possible</b><br />If your garden has stones, we recommend that you try to <a href="https://francisrose.co.uk/how-to-dispose-of-landscaping-rocks/">get rid of them</a> as soon as possible. Little kids don’t know that they aren’t to be eaten and older kids may slip and hurt themselves on them. If they are already there, then there are companies you can hire who can change this to standard mud and grass for you if this is what you want. If you don’t have them already, then just try to stay away from them. It’s the easiest option and it hurts a lot less to fall on grass than it does to fall on stones.<br /><br /><b>Dedicated Areas For Play</b><br />The final thing that we are going to say is that you should <a href="https://www.mummysnowyowl.com/2019/03/3-budget-ideas-to-get-your-little-one.html">create a dedicated area to play</a> in. By doing this, they will be confined to one place in the garden that you know is perfectly safe, and this is what is most important. Put toys in here, block it off from the rest of the garden but make sure they can see everything else, and at the very least it will be a fun hiding spot.<br /><br />There are always going to be things that need to be done in order to keep your kids safe, and these are just a few of the ideas for the garden. Spring is on its way and it'll be time to be out there very soon!! </span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Mummy Snowy Owl</b></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>xx</b></span></div></div>

It allows you to release those creative urges, it can be <a href="https://www.priorygroup.com/blog/the-benefits-of-art-therapy">surprisingly therapeutic</a>, and it’s also a good way to meet new people thanks to the many communities that surround art. Whether you’re a budding painter or someone that enjoys colouring books, there are plenty of ways to ease yourself into an art hobby.<br /><br />But what should you do if you want to take it to a new level?<br /><br /></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgZL09Bxb2oZvkSrjqZ_PBw2CmZV52519w2clWCQKnF-zdaRedXiHLfVZ8hz3b8cFMXzE-x8eg29-eHgbjGwzC22q_ssjq9dUjde9Pp3ckIyrvN1tINJLA7ATpIK1ClDwNEfZIclXH0TZlXBXl5PhAYUNFFBuBxLd6sGGDNCN-0nYxtyOjq0s0fz8C8aw=s5472" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Paid pallet and brush" border="0" data-original-height="3648" data-original-width="5472" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgZL09Bxb2oZvkSrjqZ_PBw2CmZV52519w2clWCQKnF-zdaRedXiHLfVZ8hz3b8cFMXzE-x8eg29-eHgbjGwzC22q_ssjq9dUjde9Pp3ckIyrvN1tINJLA7ATpIK1ClDwNEfZIclXH0TZlXBXl5PhAYUNFFBuBxLd6sGGDNCN-0nYxtyOjq0s0fz8C8aw=w640-h426" title="How To Take An Art Hobby To The Next Level" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><span><a name='more'></a></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial; text-align: start;">Everyone has a different level of artistry, but what if you want to take your art up a notch? Here are a couple of things that you could consider if you want to get more out of your art hobby.</span></div><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><b style="font-family: arial; text-align: start;"><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Learn A Different Art Medium</b></div></b><span style="font-family: arial; text-align: start;"><div style="text-align: left;">Artists generally learn many different types of creative mediums because it gives them options for expressing themselves. Some people will switch from traditional artwork to a digital format, and others might learn watercolours after trying out acrylic paints. It’s important to <a href="https://www.mummysnowyowl.com/2021/12/3-ways-to-learn-new-things-in-2022.html">learn new things</a> when it comes to art because everything you do provides you with more experience, gives you more ways to express yourself, and it helps you develop new skills.</div></span><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><span style="font-family: arial; text-align: start;"><div style="text-align: left;">It may be daunting at first to learn something new, but getting out of your comfort zone is a good way to improve your artistry and get more out of this wonderful hobby. We strongly suggest looking at guides and video tutorials if available, or even taking advantage of local classes if available.</div></span><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><b style="font-family: arial; text-align: start;"><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Share Your Artwork With More People</b></div></b><span style="font-family: arial; text-align: start;"><div style="text-align: left;">The idea of sharing your artwork can make you extremely anxious. After all, if you compare your artwork to something you’d see on television or a magazine, it’s probably a lot more cohesive and pretty. But that doesn’t mean you can’t share your art! One of the biggest mistakes that people make when they start an art hobby is to compare themselves to other people. This is especially unproductive if you put your artwork next to someone else who’s been making art professionally for several years. Just focus on your art and how you can share it with other people.</div></span><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><span style="font-family: arial; text-align: start;"><div style="text-align: left;">There are plenty of ways to do this. You can use social media as a way to share your digital art, or you could even contact a company like <a href="https://thesydneycanvascompany.com.au/">The Sydney Canvas Company</a> to prepare a canvas for your art. This can be a great way to turn your artwork into something physical that you can display on your walls or even give to someone as a gift.</div></span><div style="text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><b style="font-family: arial; text-align: start;"><div style="text-align: left;"><b>Create Art With The Intent To Improve</b></div></b><span style="font-family: arial; text-align: start;"><div style="text-align: left;">Many people create art purely because it’s relaxing, fun, and helps them de-stress. But others might enjoy the idea of creating art for the sake of improvement. This can mean doing lots of drills to improve your dexterity and hand control, or it could mean drawing things from nature to improve your observation skills. Creating art with intent like this is a great way to improve your skills so that you can tackle more challenges and develop a unique style.</div></span></div><br /><span></span><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Mummy Snowy Owl</span></b></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">xx</span></b></p>

Some parents like to keep it small and straightforward, while others go all out with games, prizes, and themed decorations. No matter which route you choose, there are some basics that all parents need to know when planning a birthday party for their child.<br /><br /><br /></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhdD-XGdctHPaOgvBKBSd0he1FlbQC79M0S0xl285Jk6ADVa38qZxM0obMelA7apPhL1ay4fTzpXSw5fN_tGjnWtrWROiiJmCAD_AI7pWGpGXWX_7VcdrNAWBELeGNPNOXRoIWGB9nO2sbR8vnl8McSNWlSBXB-VX9ZAEqt5B6UjZQSvTBHvd_V8ZEk_w=s3227" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><img alt="Kids party table" border="0" data-original-height="3227" data-original-width="3227" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhdD-XGdctHPaOgvBKBSd0he1FlbQC79M0S0xl285Jk6ADVa38qZxM0obMelA7apPhL1ay4fTzpXSw5fN_tGjnWtrWROiiJmCAD_AI7pWGpGXWX_7VcdrNAWBELeGNPNOXRoIWGB9nO2sbR8vnl8McSNWlSBXB-VX9ZAEqt5B6UjZQSvTBHvd_V8ZEk_w=w640-h640" title="How to Plan a Kid's Birthday Party That They'll Love" width="640" /></span></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><span style="font-family: arial;"><a name='more'></a></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Use Party Planners</span></b><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b><br /></b>Sometimes, you want someone else to take over all of the planning and entertainment for you. This is where birthday party planners can come in handy. Companies such as <a href="https://www.allfunparties.com.au/">All Fun Parties</a> will plan and host the party for you, meaning all you need to do is turn up. Many different companies can work with you to provide a theme based on your child's interests and personality, and they do all of the heavy lifting for you.<br /><br /><b>Choose Your Location</b></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b><br /></b><a href="https://allstretchedout.co.uk/birthday-party-planning/">The location is key to an epic birthday party.</a> After all, you want it talked about for all the right reasons! Involve your child in the discussions and determine what type of place they want to hold their party. It might be that a local venue where they can all run around crazy will work best for you, or you need a place with more activities to keep everyone occupied. But talking through your options with your child can help them feel part of the process and help you pinpoint the ideal venue.<br /><br /><b>Choose A Theme</b><br /><br />We all know kids change their minds and <a href="https://www.mummysnowyowl.com/2022/01/helping-your-child-find-their-passion.html">their interests</a> constantly. But pinning down a theme is vital to help you create the perfect atmosphere. It doesn't even need to be expensive, especially if their favourite show or character changes each week! Pick a colour, animal, interest such as football, or even pattern like rainbows or polka dots, then work this into all of your decorations, plates, party bags and more.<br /><br /><b>Determine The Guest List</b><br /><br />Ideally, this needs to be done first. A guest list can dictate the type or size of venue you require, along with the cost. You will know what you can and can't afford once your guest list is in place. Alternatively, your child can narrow down who they want to attend if you are short on space or numbers if you have a set budget. Give people time to RSVP so you can be sure of attendance and plan accordingly.<br /><br /><b>Food</b><br /><br />The<a href="https://party.lovetoknow.com/How_to_Calculate_Food_for_a_Party"> timing of your party can determine the food type and quantity needed</a>. Younger children tend to be pickier, so having finger food, they can pick at will likely work well. Holding your party mid-afternoon means you might be able to provide less food as children will likely have eaten before and will again once they leave at their regular meal times.<br /><br />Hosting parties later in the evening or around meal times might mean you need to have more substantial offerings or more significant quantities available for kids to eat, especially if you are hosting a party somewhere they will likely work up an appetite.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;">Now, you're party ready what are your plans??</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Mummy Snowy Owl</span></b></div><div><b><span style="font-family: arial;">xx</span></b></div>

Not only are things like a poor diet, lack of sleep, and limited exercise bad for their physical and mental health, but they can also have a negative impact on their education. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">For this reason, I have teamed up with a <a href="https://www.embley.org.uk/">pre-prep school in Hampshire</a> to share some of the ways in which your child’s progress in school can be hindered by their lifestyle.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhxVfrhQ2U2prPFGk3d5ZxMNQI_2orjt7JfvueZnigRyf6To-hxgCfZwxd15Faqck3YjuNSw8TdAsHi4zsfL6NTadp2KQg0sWnCxY_l32kXqbEfcKveO7Q5K4VIvPgiLyilC5nybGDFq7D35Ur3RQin-AXTXEaaDt5HgLx6K-DxmORfD17FLtNaCTQuGg=s6192" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Little boy climbing a tree" border="0" data-original-height="6192" data-original-width="6192" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhxVfrhQ2U2prPFGk3d5ZxMNQI_2orjt7JfvueZnigRyf6To-hxgCfZwxd15Faqck3YjuNSw8TdAsHi4zsfL6NTadp2KQg0sWnCxY_l32kXqbEfcKveO7Q5K4VIvPgiLyilC5nybGDFq7D35Ur3RQin-AXTXEaaDt5HgLx6K-DxmORfD17FLtNaCTQuGg=w640-h640" title="How Do My Child’s Lifestyle Choices Affect Their Education?" width="640" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span><p></p><span><span style="font-family: arial;"><a name='more'></a></span></span><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Sleep</span></b></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">First of all, lack of sleep can affect a child’s ability to concentrate in class and can even decrease brain development, so learning problems become more frequent for children who don’t have a decent bedtime. With this in mind, it’s important to make sure your child puts down their digital devices a few hours before bedtime so that they have the opportunity to wind down. Depending on their age, they should be getting at least 8-hours of sleep.</span></p><p></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Diet</span></b></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">The food your child eats will also impact their behaviour and ability to focus. Sugary snacks and fizzy drinks provide a temporary energy boost, but this is shortly followed by a “crash”, so your child will likely feel sluggish throughout the day. Send them to school with a belly full of healthy breakfast, and make sure their breaktime snack is something nutritious and full of fibre, rather than a chocolate bar.</span></p><p></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Exercise</span></b></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">We all know that exercise is great for strengthening bones and muscles and reduces the risk of becoming overweight or developing various health conditions. However, exercise can also benefit children from a mental perspective. Even something like a short walk after school is important for your child’s cognitive skills, as well as promoting the development of their motor skills. So, try and encourage them to play outdoors or walk the dog if you feel as though they are not getting enough exercise.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Mummy Snowy Owl</b></span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>xx</b></span></p>

With this in mind, you may be wondering what you can do as a mum or dad to help your child understand how to behave appropriate, and how to treat others. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Here are some tips from a <a href="https://www.kingshottschool.com/">prep school in Hertfordshire</a>.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEidN8txefg_ctHyVOBq9_VHuTpRPFR380TKENJJeumLESDEFw55yAEYCUXe9Hkp50opEpYzCc7xwYLe4hLZRtE_o32ApeqIoKIE_8APCOLRL_jfuUAMTSPwj1S3eSlUywePPex4LNCRGwWvIZzZd0PdWnqF8OUdNEzKq9fZiq_XjkIzcVmuiw3aD1ZCdA=s3416" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><img alt="Baby's hand holding an adult hand" border="0" data-original-height="3416" data-original-width="3416" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEidN8txefg_ctHyVOBq9_VHuTpRPFR380TKENJJeumLESDEFw55yAEYCUXe9Hkp50opEpYzCc7xwYLe4hLZRtE_o32ApeqIoKIE_8APCOLRL_jfuUAMTSPwj1S3eSlUywePPex4LNCRGwWvIZzZd0PdWnqF8OUdNEzKq9fZiq_XjkIzcVmuiw3aD1ZCdA=w640-h640" title="How To Raise A Respectful Child" width="640" /></span></a></div><p><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></p><span style="font-family: arial;"><a name='more'></a></span><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Go Beyond Manners</span></b></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Teaching your child to say please and thank you is important, but that’s only part of being respectful. Respecting someone means valuing their beliefs, regarding their feelings and appreciating what they have to offer.</span></p><p></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Focus On Mutual Respect</span></b></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">If you want your child to treat others with respect, they should also be treated as such. Be sure to value their thoughts and opinions and speak politely to them. You can’t expect them to respect people’s difference if you try and force them to do what you want. For example, if they want to wear something that you think is a little odd, don’t hold them back. If you shout at them all the time, you can’t be shocked if they shout at you. Essentially, the idea is to show them the correct way to treat people.</span></p><p></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Explore Gratitude</span></b></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Help your child understand what other people do for them each and every day by encouraging them to explore gratitude. Each day, ask them for some examples of things they appreciate that day, like their dad giving them a lift to school, their mum helping them with their homework, or their sister sharing their sweets. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">If your child learns to look at the positive ways in which people treat them, they will be more likely to treat people in the same way, so as to return the favour so to speak. Exploring gratitude will also help them understand how fortunate they are, which will allow them to empathise with people who might not have the same circumstances. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">This should help cultivate kindness and compassion to others, which is an important element of respect.</span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Mummy Snowy Owl</span></b></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">xx</span></b></p>

There are lots of reasons why creativity is important; it can improve cognitive abilities and improve mood. With that said, you may be wondering how you can boost your child’s creativity. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Here are some tips from an <a href="https://www.kingalfred.org.uk/">alternative school in London</a>.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiApruXuspm2ooOtZZoQyNXrAJa4gvSSlJVbVjpYoJOmp38sIY62dgkezXRiqVJFw7rXQQxHv59RU7eANsUTxMXp-vMSSG7yZ9TVwpzbOj39iYOdeXZYD-mJVVSUAAVqkvQWNyDFHVcq92NYHeU9WwgsxKLd_cxyKUjpoD2Yrjv7yYMvvnT_Q_Jwtj9SQ=s3456" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Child's hands using paint and crayons to decorate rocks" border="0" data-original-height="3456" data-original-width="3456" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiApruXuspm2ooOtZZoQyNXrAJa4gvSSlJVbVjpYoJOmp38sIY62dgkezXRiqVJFw7rXQQxHv59RU7eANsUTxMXp-vMSSG7yZ9TVwpzbOj39iYOdeXZYD-mJVVSUAAVqkvQWNyDFHVcq92NYHeU9WwgsxKLd_cxyKUjpoD2Yrjv7yYMvvnT_Q_Jwtj9SQ=w640-h640" title="How To Boost Your Child’s Creativity" width="640" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span><p></p><span><span style="font-family: arial;"><a name='more'></a></span></span><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Look for Alternative/Creative Solutions to Problems</span></b></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Help your child avoid that feeling of discouragement that often accompanies a mistake. Mistakes often lead to creative solutions, so they should be something that we embrace. So, if your child is struggling to succeed at something, try and help them look at it from a new perspective or come up with a creative way to overcome the challenge. For example, if they can’t seem to master their times tables, you could sing them to make them more memorable.</span></p><p></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Ask Lots of Questions</span></b></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">By asking your child open-ended questions, you will encourage them to think creatively. Ask them “what if” questions so that they imagine different scenarios and come up with unique answers.</span></p><p></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Spend Time Outdoors</span></b></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">The great outdoors is great for mental health and can also boost creativity. This is because it is an inspiring environment; the opportunities for fun, learning, and experimentation are endless. Build a den in the woods together or perhaps go camping if the weather permits. Head to the coast and search for fossils or climb trees in the garden. The trick is to find ways to stimulate their curiosity and allow them to engage their imaginations.</span></p><p></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Encourage Unstructured Play</span></b></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Sticking to a strict schedule allows little time for experimentation and creative thinking. So, try and give your child some time each day to play freely, without judgement. Provide them with lots of dressing up clothes and props so that they can play make believe, and lots of coloured pens and crafting materials so that they can explore art.</span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Mummy Snowy Owl</span></b></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">xx</span></b></p>

We call these controlled movements our fine motor skills. Of course, our new-born babies do not yet have the skills, and they must be developed and practiced over time.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjmsGX545e5J30WlrLJmTleukd4lI3J-imqzVjOcvH6UtYjBOXo_4Btgj14YSAjDRDZ0NDeL_fgXE8B9p71TXT1v-CTFbsvSg7x51oTkNBObPF720ylIQ3LpUNRR8iV5mLFNZZzJDYlaHs1RD6RaUChi66pqmfEDmR4R-VxRS_SBxgfQTjHIJBPsKc5sg=s2829" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Close up of a highchair tray, covered in spagetti with a childs hand and spoon in shot" border="0" data-original-height="2829" data-original-width="2828" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjmsGX545e5J30WlrLJmTleukd4lI3J-imqzVjOcvH6UtYjBOXo_4Btgj14YSAjDRDZ0NDeL_fgXE8B9p71TXT1v-CTFbsvSg7x51oTkNBObPF720ylIQ3LpUNRR8iV5mLFNZZzJDYlaHs1RD6RaUChi66pqmfEDmR4R-VxRS_SBxgfQTjHIJBPsKc5sg=w640-h640" title="Helping Your Child Develop their Fine Motor Skills" width="640" /></a></div><br /><span></span><span><a name='more'></a></span><p><span style="font-family: arial;">If a child has weak fine motor skills, they will struggle with lots of normal activities, from eating to writing legibly or using a computer. With this in mind, it’s important for parents to find ways to encourage their children to practice using the small muscles until they become more competent.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">I have teamed up with a <a href="https://www.hopesanddreams.co.uk/">private nursery in London</a> to share some ideas of activities that can help increase muscle strength and co-ordination, which will prepare your child for more advanced skills going forward. Here are just a few suggestions to get you started:</span></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">· Stacking small blocks</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">· Playing with playdough or clay</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">· Drawing/scribbling with crayons etc</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">· Painting, either with fingers or with a paintbrush</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">· Opening and closing containers</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">· Doing jigsaw puzzles together</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">· Getting dressed independently to practise teeth/hair brushing, buttons, zips, buckles etc</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">· Helping in the kitchen with pouring, stirring, shaking etc</span></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Of course, there are different milestones to look out for, as you can’t expect a one-year-old to do the same things as a four-year-old. By roughly 2 months of age, your baby should be able to hold a rattle if you place it in their hands and by 6 months, they should be able to shake the rattle. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">These skills will slowly develop further through everyday activities and whilst you play with them. Eventually they will be able to tie their own shoelaces or safely use a pair of scissors. </span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">If you are concerned about your child’s development in any way, don’t hesitate to speak to a professional.</span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Mummy Snowy Owl</span></b></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">xx</span></b></p>

It is within every parent’s nature. You want the best for your child. Initially, it starts off with questioning how well they are developing and <a href="https://www.mummysnowyowl.com/2022/01/helping-your-child-develop-their.html">helping them develop their vocabulary</a> or fine motor skills.<br /><br />Then as they start getting older, you start asking yourself how self-sufficient your child is. How well will they cope on their own? Do you have the required life skills that will be needed to face the challenges that lie ahead?<br /><br /></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhDjjm2of8inLddJfHKimMQ9tq2mg1mAxaoKakdc6sP6DpUC2CcMcyUBkhS-VZG6BbzxIPYIG22SLmNkvAj6IIaoZ9FT_ambiiOKPGUGD_nY_KB4LtfnNIuSbRcyC_gv4yPokV8E9M8vwQuUDv3eKNEQGkSHsBrVfYrhvggiz4yOc6IEukyNCB85x1nOg=s1170" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Child paddling in the sea" border="0" data-original-height="780" data-original-width="1170" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhDjjm2of8inLddJfHKimMQ9tq2mg1mAxaoKakdc6sP6DpUC2CcMcyUBkhS-VZG6BbzxIPYIG22SLmNkvAj6IIaoZ9FT_ambiiOKPGUGD_nY_KB4LtfnNIuSbRcyC_gv4yPokV8E9M8vwQuUDv3eKNEQGkSHsBrVfYrhvggiz4yOc6IEukyNCB85x1nOg=w640-h426" title="Important Skills To Teach Your Kids" width="640" /></a></div><br /><span><a name='more'></a></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><span style="font-family: arial;">As a parent, you want to teach and instill certain characteristics or skills in your children to help them succeed as adults. But, the reality is that you need to teach them confidence and independence. These are the core pillars that leadership, innovation, determination and a whole host of other skills are built around. They need to learn how to function on their own without you and gain the confidence within themselves to overcome any hurdles that the future may send their way.</span><br style="font-family: arial;" /><br style="font-family: arial;" /><span style="font-family: arial;">Children need to learn more than just what is taught at school. Fundamentally, there are other skills that are called upon daily. In order for children to be equipped for their future, they need to learn through their home experiences.</span><br style="font-family: arial;" /><br style="font-family: arial;" /><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Taking Control Of Their Own Time Management</b></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;">How often do you find yourself running up and down the stairs trying to wake the kids, get them ready and give them breakfast? The thought of giving them control over their own time can seem daunting to parents alike. But, it is a skill they need to learn. Instead of waking them up daily, give them an alarm clock or set an alarm on their phone and give them the responsibility for getting themselves ready. <br /><br />Let them take charge of their own homework and meeting deadlines. If they want to meet their friends or play computer games, they need to<a href="https://www.verywellfamily.com/how-to-teach-your-kids-time-management-skills-4126588"> plan their time</a> to ensure their studies are completed. <br /><br /><br /></span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Things Don’t Always Come Easy</b><br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;">If you want something you have to work for it. It is no different for children. <br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;">How often have you seen or heard of children giving up or wanting to give up on a task or activity because it was hard? Life can be hard. It is important to take the time to understand what they don’t like and work with them to find a solution around it. For example, it could be that their confidence is still low in regard to their <a href="https://www.aquabliss.com.au/">swim lessons</a>. This might not be a class that you want them to stop, so it is important to teach them how their determination and practice will make it easier. <br /><br />You need to lead by example. If they see you giving up and quitting easily they will assume they can too. If they see you persevering, they will learn that it is okay if it isn’t easy, but with hard work and ongoing determination, they too will be able to succeed. Then with each success, their confidence and independence will grow.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Mummy Snowy Owl</span></b></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>xx </b><br /></span><p><br /></p><p></p></div></div>

Whether you're a busy professional or a stay-at-home mom, it's important to have access to the most recent information in your community. In this blog post, we will discuss four ways that you can stay up-to-date with local news and events, and also avoid fake news!</span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiNQHGTjJP8RUcCTm_sjoI81Wkx7124mXjEqm_vN83jRgYOCgqVjhpUrsfw_gPN6bJBRQx6EPhEnBziYauNlzkNliDiOMxiID9C1pIYbd0Q0CKHl3j8TRNtXwc4cci87pL_4MI0QauZWj8AOIiIw990c2UM3SQwYo7K2tCiEza5li70oL41fA6T7qNlGw=s1170" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><img alt="Typewriter with a piece of paper with NEWS written across it" border="0" data-original-height="780" data-original-width="1170" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiNQHGTjJP8RUcCTm_sjoI81Wkx7124mXjEqm_vN83jRgYOCgqVjhpUrsfw_gPN6bJBRQx6EPhEnBziYauNlzkNliDiOMxiID9C1pIYbd0Q0CKHl3j8TRNtXwc4cci87pL_4MI0QauZWj8AOIiIw990c2UM3SQwYo7K2tCiEza5li70oL41fA6T7qNlGw=w640-h426" title="4 Ways To Keep Up With What's Happening Near You" width="640" /></span></a></div><div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><span><span style="font-family: arial;"><a name='more'></a></span></span><div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Subscribe To A Local Newspaper</b><br />One of the best ways to stay up-to-date with local news and events is to <a href="https://www.americanpressinstitute.org/publications/reports/survey-research/newspaper-vs-other-subscribers/">subscribe</a> to a local newspaper. Most newspapers offer online subscriptions so that you can access your information from anywhere. In addition, many newspapers have social media accounts that you can follow in order to get real-time updates. Tip: If you're looking for a specific type of news or event, be sure to check the newspaper's website or social media account before subscribing. This will ensure that you're not wasting your money on a subscription that doesn't cater to your interests.<br /><br /><b>Follow Local News Outlets On Social Media</b><br />Another great way to stay up-to-date with local news and events is to follow local news outlets on social media. Most major news outlets have Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts that you can follow. In addition, many small-town newspapers have social media accounts as well. By following your local news outlets on social media, you'll be able to see the latest headlines in real-time. Tip: Be sure to "follow" or "subscribe" to the official accounts of your local government agencies and school districts. This will ensure that you receive timely updates about important announcements and closures.<br /><br /><b>Use Local News Apps</b><br />If you're looking for a more portable way to stay up-to-date with local news and events, be sure to check out the latest local news apps such as <a href="https://sportnews.in/">https://sportnews.in/</a>. . Most major cities have their own news app that you can download for free. These apps usually offer real-time updates about the latest headlines, events, and weather conditions in your area. In addition, many of these apps allow you to personalize your feed so that you only see information that's relevant to you. Tip: If your city doesn't have its own dedicated news app, be sure to check out regional or statewide news apps instead. These apps will typically give you access to headlines from multiple cities/states within one app.<br /><br /><b>Attend Local Events</b><br />One of the best ways to stay up-to-date with local news and events is to <a href="https://www.eventbrite.com/blog/community-events-2021-ds00/">attend local events</a>. This can include everything from town hall meetings to charity galas. By attending local events, you'll be able to meet new people, learn about new organizations, and hear the latest news directly from community leaders. Tip: Be sure to check out your city or town's website or social media account for a list of upcoming local events. You can also visit websites like Eventbrite or Meetup to find events that are happening in your area.<br /><br />In conclusion, there are many ways that you can stay up-to-date with local news and events. By subscribing to a local newspaper, following local news outlets on social media, using local news apps, and attending local events, you'll have access to the most recent information in your community. </span><span style="font-family: arial;">Use reliable sources to ensure your avoid fake news! </span><span style="font-family: arial;">So stay informed and be involved! </span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /><b>Mummy Snowy Owl</b></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>xx</b><br /></span><br /> </div></div></div>

Green meadows, countless lakes and snow-capped peaks give it a unique form, which has been identified around the world as a sign of peace and prosperity. The Swiss are still famous for their watches, knives, and chocolates. They are also famous for their ski resorts and chalets, which are the meeting place of the international jet set and their picturesque cities, most of which are built on the shores of a lake.<br /><br /></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEisYX8BXzWTTt3jLUplF4EHchw0wHuN99aphMC8jMTku1laccssdIkIBS5DNRzkv4AUvC5uvIqgRRJ4LvbsNQGb7KbiNSP1YGZbL7MyW0B1f0UfF4OjQX-KCRGF7w3LdQ3csTbeOtTvyLkhwZ_l8hZpDAbNFN2aMBRyAR9RBmWCC3MC3TVTFKyD0-jwUQ=s1170" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="780" data-original-width="1170" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEisYX8BXzWTTt3jLUplF4EHchw0wHuN99aphMC8jMTku1laccssdIkIBS5DNRzkv4AUvC5uvIqgRRJ4LvbsNQGb7KbiNSP1YGZbL7MyW0B1f0UfF4OjQX-KCRGF7w3LdQ3csTbeOtTvyLkhwZ_l8hZpDAbNFN2aMBRyAR9RBmWCC3MC3TVTFKyD0-jwUQ=s320" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><span><a name='more'></a></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: arial;">The landlocked Switzerland, doesn't offer coastal towns buty because of the large number of its lakes, the water element is very strong in the country's life. It borders Italy, Austria, Liechtenstein, Germany and France, with a population of just over 8.5 million.</span><br style="font-family: arial;" /><br style="font-family: arial;" /><a href="https://www.britannica.com/place/Switzerland" style="font-family: arial;">Switzerland</a><span style="font-family: arial;"> is a federation of 26 cantons, each with its own government and great autonomy. The capital of the Swiss Federation is Bern, a picturesque city with less than 150,000 permanent residents built on the banks of the river Aar, in the centre of the country. It was founded in the 12th century, and its medieval centre is maintained in excellent condition to this day. At that point, the river Aar makes a "turn" and forms a peninsula, which is Bern's historic centre.</span><br style="font-family: arial;" /><br style="font-family: arial;" /><b style="font-family: arial;">Zurich</b><br style="font-family: arial;" /><br style="font-family: arial;" /><span style="font-family: arial;">The largest city in Switzerland is Zurich. It is considered the economic and cultural centre of the country, while it often figures in the first places of the lists with the cities that offer the best quality of life. It is built on the shores of the lake of the same name, at the point where the river Limmat flows. The area has been inhabited since Roman times, while the city developed in the Middle Ages and already from the 19th century was an important economic centre. Dominant in the city's economic life today is the sector of banking and financial services, as Zurich is the headquarters of Swiss banks and the Swiss Stock Exchange operates there.</span><br style="font-family: arial;" /><br style="font-family: arial;" /><b style="font-family: arial;">Geneva</b><br style="font-family: arial;" /><br style="font-family: arial;" /><span style="font-family: arial;">Geneva, built on the shores of the lake of the same name, is another great Swiss city. The European part of the UN is located in this city, while its characteristic attraction is the huge jet of water, which is located in the lake and reaches a height of 140 meters! Medieval cobbled streets, traditional buildings, alpine scenery, and the lake make Geneva a beautiful city, also the centre of European diplomacy.</span><br style="font-family: arial;" /><br style="font-family: arial;" /><b style="font-family: arial;">Lausanne</b><br style="font-family: arial;" /><br style="font-family: arial;" /><span style="font-family: arial;">Also built on the shores of Lake Geneva (whose official name is Lake Lehman) is another beautiful Swiss city, Lausanne. The city is crossed by two rivers, the Flon and the Louvre, which "separate" its historic center from the modern neighbourhoods. The old town of Lausanne is called Cite and retains its medieval character very well, with its narrow streets. However, it is built on different levels, resulting in a fascinating "system" with bridges and elevated roads between the houses. It’s not always straightforward, however, as some children can take a while to find what they enjoy and what they’re good at. If you’re struggling, here are some tips this <a href="https://www.kps.co.uk/">private school in Notting Hill</a> recommends to help your child find their passion.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgwxkDctcrsco_jc-r7WcRdNlzKO34P-R9FP7FiZAfsF0YsKbCjhB3xyF1ZO5jTlzUpUgOyXUiPZHe5LbE1pxvfzjV6XYPYW96QEZnahdGYuYEXwwnQI1VWHZ2aDADJqzIvr0JBBnULvYbYPUfWDLbyZrVJReVFLGKg8XkSbjVfLAJ6u71DraTC5hnJDw=s5184" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><img alt="A kid skateboarding" border="0" data-original-height="2912" data-original-width="5184" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgwxkDctcrsco_jc-r7WcRdNlzKO34P-R9FP7FiZAfsF0YsKbCjhB3xyF1ZO5jTlzUpUgOyXUiPZHe5LbE1pxvfzjV6XYPYW96QEZnahdGYuYEXwwnQI1VWHZ2aDADJqzIvr0JBBnULvYbYPUfWDLbyZrVJReVFLGKg8XkSbjVfLAJ6u71DraTC5hnJDw=w640-h360" title="Helping Your Child Find Their Passion" width="640" /></span></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><span style="font-family: arial;"><a name='more'></a></span><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Promote Strong Friendships</span></b></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">One way children find their calling is through what their friends are doing. Motivated by their interest in something, your child can explore these hobbies by themselves and see if they enjoy them. It may be swimming, going to an athletics club, or going to a Scouts club after school - they all help children in determining what they enjoy.</span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Ride On Your Child’s Confidence</span></b></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">A confident child is more likely to pick up something new than someone who is shy and reserved. While it’s not impossible for shyer children to find something that makes them happy, they can have a harder time exploring new hobbies. So long as you put faith and trust in your child, and remind them of how important they are to you, you’ll help them in their confidence.</span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">If Your Child Doesn’t Like A Certain Hobby, Move On</span></b></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Part of what can make children unsure of trying something new is the risk they end up not enjoying it and wasting everyone’s time. Remind them that it’s okay to not enjoy something and move on to something they may prefer instead. Your child won’t find what they’re passionate about without trying, so make room for trial and error.</span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Avoid Forcing Your Child To Do Certain Things</span></b></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">You can’t make your child love tennis or football. Accept that everyone is different and ensure your child has enough freedom to explore what they want to try out. It’ll make them feel happier and more comfortable.</span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Mummy Snowy Owl</span></b></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">xx</span></b></p><p><b><br /></b></p>

As much as we try to protect our children and <a href="https://www.mummysnowyowl.com/2021/03/self-care-ideas-for-busy-parents-by.html">look after ourselves</a>, there will be moments in life when we have to break bad news or we need to find out something about them that may not seem quite right. And this is why it's important that you learn to talk and have a good method of communication with them. But what does it really take to talk to your children about the big issues?</span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhvzaWQobPXUuReehQcU33FkkkXrGMkPhTMr8z5LSH8D6iPw8X6n8H2hmycKLK789PQOU1WixgqcY4H_t3g1sWhyqzi-fM0yuJbOlKpOlgb5VtJpuk_ilEn5D24f5XId4LIb8_HuTAFTycbEaPJP0VB_0YHZeQBKLKK78HyjDOlyU2qEkIZcoa9EYMU6g=s581" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img alt="Teddy bear sitting in a rainy window" border="0" data-original-height="581" data-original-width="444" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhvzaWQobPXUuReehQcU33FkkkXrGMkPhTMr8z5LSH8D6iPw8X6n8H2hmycKLK789PQOU1WixgqcY4H_t3g1sWhyqzi-fM0yuJbOlKpOlgb5VtJpuk_ilEn5D24f5XId4LIb8_HuTAFTycbEaPJP0VB_0YHZeQBKLKK78HyjDOlyU2qEkIZcoa9EYMU6g=w490-h640" title="How To Have The Bad News Conversation With Kids" width="490" /></a></div></span><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /><br /><br /><span><a name='more'></a></span><b><br /></b></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Create The Right Situation</b><br />Whatever you need to discuss you have to create the right environment so your children will listen. The first thing you need to consider is the time of day. You may not want to have a discussion in the evening but of course, it depends on the situation. If you are breaking bad news such as someone's death you have to remember that you may wish to protect them, especially if it was someone really close, but it's important to remember that when you are starting a serious conversation to not be too forceful and take a subtle approach. <br /><br /><b>Making The Conversation Relevant</b><br />Sometimes this approach can help when we are trying to speak to really young children. Sometimes when you're watching TV you may be able to immediately relate to a situation going on and use it as a way to start the conversation. When you are talking about something like death, it's not an easy thing to bring up especially if you are trying to break the bad news about something that's really affecting you. This is why you have to be relevant but also age-appropriate. Sometimes we may think about lightening the load in some way but the fact is that if you are going through the grieving process yourself you may subconsciously try to make things lighter for your sake, but making anything like this “breezy” is not beneficial. You could very well be going through the grieving process, planning the funeral, and find that the little things can set you off. So rather than making the process of purchasing <a href="https://www.memorials.com/companion-urns.php">cremation urns for two people</a> something that you need to protect your child from, having the conversation is so important. <br /><br /><b>Having Realistic Expectations</b><br />Something like death is not an easy thing to discuss, which is why you may want to give them space and provide bitesize conversations over a long period of time as this allows them to process what you've been talking about and allows them to deal with the situation and ask more questions. This is a very difficult situation but you also have to remember that if you are going through the grieving process yourself and you are trying to find a funeral service and deal with <a href="https://www.agingcare.com/articles/estate-administration-probate-after-death-in-family-153107.htm">the estate</a> side of things you may not be in your best frame of mind either. And it's important to remember that you allow yourself space as well. <br /><br />It's not easy to discuss difficult topics with our kids, especially ones as heavy as death, but we have to remember that in life these things will happen so it's not about protecting our children but about ensuring that they are able to deal with these things in the right way, openly and effectively.</span><span><!--more--></span><span><!--more--></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Mummy Snowy Owl</span></b></div><div><b><span style="font-family: arial;">xx</span></b></div></div>

It’s also an essential way of allowing children to pick up new phrases, support others and develop their communication skills. So how can we help our children with their vocab? Here are some top tips from a <a href="https://happyhearts.uk/">private nursery in London</a>.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhGFz0tJxsveOgjsgTbVkSClxTVb8LnC9eTjUgWLhSIrsPYNdIn3SNpiYt1ZnZQFHqdHS5x6gG_noNAGru3siSTAn0hLW9QO84S3ivIEFrV_jOqf1HPO6-TCWfHfi3Vaix8I44y7M-7dUgW7MhBCpn7JOGo5QWZ7L_WvrYtOM1t4xTcYCoEUBD9sR-z8A=s6181" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><img alt="Child's hands playing with a tablet" border="0" data-original-height="4121" data-original-width="6181" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhGFz0tJxsveOgjsgTbVkSClxTVb8LnC9eTjUgWLhSIrsPYNdIn3SNpiYt1ZnZQFHqdHS5x6gG_noNAGru3siSTAn0hLW9QO84S3ivIEFrV_jOqf1HPO6-TCWfHfi3Vaix8I44y7M-7dUgW7MhBCpn7JOGo5QWZ7L_WvrYtOM1t4xTcYCoEUBD9sR-z8A=w640-h426" title="Helping Your Child Develop Their Vocabulary" width="640" /></span></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><span style="font-family: arial;"><a name='more'></a></span><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Show Interest And Delight In Finding New Words</span></b></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">The cornerstone of any child development is the excitement and wonder of finding something new. Even new words can be interesting, so show your child the joy of learning a new word and put it into practice. Make sure they don’t feel afraid to try something different and that it’s okay to discover new things on the go.</span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Reading</span></b></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Most children will develop their natural bank of vocabulary through reading books. As they come across a new word, ask your child to say it and then go through what that word means together. This will happen quite often when reading together and heading to more advanced reading material.</span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Have Two-Way Conversations</span></b></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">A chat with your child should never be where you talk to your child continuously; let your child have their own input in what you’re discussing to help them build their confidence. There’s also more of an opportunity for them to use the new words they’ve been learning.</span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Set Realistic Goals</span></b></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Giving your child a huge list of words they’ve got to learn in a week will not help them progress. Instead, you should work with them on producing manageable goals that help them discover new words in a manageable way. This ensures they’re not overwhelmed when it comes to homework or other school tasks.</span></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Teach vocabulary to your child regularly and they’ll soon have a range of new words to say with friends, family and in standard conversations, while boosting their communication skills!</span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Mummy Snowy Owl</span></b></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">xx</span></b></p>

There are plenty of options to consider. Bunk beds, gaming beds, singles and doubles so it's a good idea to have a browse online. For example, you can check out <a href="https://www.divanbedwarehouse.co.uk/">divan beds online</a>, have a browse and consider what would work in the space you have. Make sure that you invest in a good quality mattress as well so your little one can get a goodnight's sleep!! <br /><br />A new bed is a big thing for a kid, so let them <a href="https://www.mummysnowyowl.com/2018/06/decorating-ideas-for-your-childs-room.html">help you choose it</a>. Of course you should guide them to the best options but let them make their own choice from where you have led them.<br /><br /><b>A Small Light</b><br />Another thing that you should think about is having a <a href="https://www.babycentre.co.uk/x553841/is-it-a-good-idea-to-have-a-night-light-in-my-toddlers-room">small light in their room</a> for when they go to sleep. You might not want to leave the big light on but you can get a small night light for them to go to sleep with. It’s common for kids to not want to go to sleep in complete darkness and there is nothing wrong with it. Just get something small that can go in the corner, and everything will be great. If this makes them comfortable, it’s something that has got to be done.<br /><br /><b>Their Favourite Toys</b><br />Finally, you should ensure that you have some of <a href="https://www.professorshouse.com/should-kids-toys-be-confined-to-one-room/">their favorite toys in the room</a> with them. You might not be a fan of toys in the bedroom but try to remember that sometimes their toys make them feel safe. Especially the cuddly type!! So, if they feel like they need one or want one, they can go and grab them. Also, if the toys are in the bedroom, it means that they are not cluttering up your living room floor which is always a bonus!!!<br /><br />So, there's a few tips to making your kids bedroom as comfortable as possible. Remember to ask them what they want but also include things that you know they are going to need and of course make it cosy!!</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Mummy Snowy Owl</b></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>xx</b></span></div>

In layman’s terms, pastoral care ensures the health and wellbeing of students in school and how they can be supported through their academic pursuits.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">This <a href="https://www.hallifordschool.co.uk/">private school in Middlesex</a> has put together some reasons why pastoral care is hugely important for schools to provide for its students.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgHgL43HOodLzRH_A5BvGh4FPTFFBs67PRD1YjGr-fUw5MksMKJVTm0BuF1Hfy92VqgrHgZyp-gZwomPNmewjQaprSqZYktOCBu-unHVlheefs8iv0eY2S32i1ExeGSW7xOtKEi2f5qaak7pQJHUqkBdjXtu6mH4n_YWSGMeSXIID-EIzMh8nq4IskKzg=s4000" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Children's hands doing school work" border="0" data-original-height="2667" data-original-width="4000" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgHgL43HOodLzRH_A5BvGh4FPTFFBs67PRD1YjGr-fUw5MksMKJVTm0BuF1Hfy92VqgrHgZyp-gZwomPNmewjQaprSqZYktOCBu-unHVlheefs8iv0eY2S32i1ExeGSW7xOtKEi2f5qaak7pQJHUqkBdjXtu6mH4n_YWSGMeSXIID-EIzMh8nq4IskKzg=w640-h426" title="The Importance Of Pastoral Care In Schools" width="640" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span><p></p><span><span style="font-family: arial;"><a name='more'></a></span></span><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Improves A Child’s Social Skills</span></b></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Getting support from teachers directly gives children a safe space to voice any concerns, ask for guidance on their homework or school work assignments and also to work with teachers on any areas that they’ve noticed they struggle in. It should be a neutral ground for children to talk and gain insight from their teachers who always want the best from their students.</span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">It Teaches Children About Life Skills</span></b></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Pastoral care is translated into lessons that are taught in school - this is usually in the form of PSHE lessons. These lessons are given to children to give them the opportunity to express themselves, improve their general wellbeing and know what to look out for if they feel in distress. Arming them with these tools also helps children identify areas that they may need support in from parents and teachers.</span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Allows Children To Feel Safe In Their Environment</span></b></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">A happy child in school is one that feels safe in their surroundings, doesn’t feel overwhelmed and knows where to go for support and direction. Pastoral care is there to show children that their school and its teachers will be there for them in any capacity they can provide support in.</span></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">It’s about a child’s connection to how they learn, appreciate life and in turn building their confidence and self esteem through regular lessons, training and problem solving activities. Children are much more likely to be able to cope and manage their resilience, as well as have a more positive outlook about their future.</span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Mummy Snowy Owl</span></b></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">xx</span></b></p>

This is known as resilience training - showing children how to tackle difficult situations and face adversity that happens in front of them.</span></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">From a young age the concept is going to be alien to them, but even when your child’s a toddler they’re able to understand the importance of resilience through play, having fun with friends and when they get to nursery and starting school. Here are some tips to build resilience in your child from this <a href="https://www.brambletye.co.uk/">prep school in East Sussex.</a></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEj7DqGra4HGbZULDx1hrXZLI_atlSDe0kERGd_qASKG-MrciT35etf1qpUH5Ou9Cf_YdSfnPyQvmLQ18d5dUeM5mm-Mynz_Sd5rivAh2Oz0E5Lk_Nf2Qk1zwvwzHREO1YRaMsu5ssoqfOSLGdSO4pn49a1KJ1PnTVoG50qBVDx4aH-VKZwXzR4RHCVFeA=s5004" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><img alt="Children's feet jumping in very muddy puddles" border="0" data-original-height="3336" data-original-width="5004" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEj7DqGra4HGbZULDx1hrXZLI_atlSDe0kERGd_qASKG-MrciT35etf1qpUH5Ou9Cf_YdSfnPyQvmLQ18d5dUeM5mm-Mynz_Sd5rivAh2Oz0E5Lk_Nf2Qk1zwvwzHREO1YRaMsu5ssoqfOSLGdSO4pn49a1KJ1PnTVoG50qBVDx4aH-VKZwXzR4RHCVFeA=w640-h426" title="How To Raise A Resilient Child" width="640" /></span></a></div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /><span><a name='more'></a></span></span><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Play Problem Solving Games</span></b></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Solving problems is part of a child understanding how to handle difficult situations in real time. Problem solving games can be as simple as having board games out to play, role playing with your child’s friends or siblings and posing easy questions your child can understand. They’ll soon get into the habit of using their head to figure out problems on their own.</span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Help Your Child Know To Support Others</span></b></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Cheering runners on at a local race; holding a donation bucket at a fayre or helping out at a care home - all are examples of ways children are expressing their support for others. These train children in the art of resilience way before they could be tested in real life, as they’re exploring causes of struggle, how problems occur and what they can realistically do to help.</span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Give Your Child Manageable Goals</span></b></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Having a set of clear but reachable goals helps a child in working towards success and overcoming fears. These should be goals relevant to your child’s development, such as homework from school broken down into chunks or demonstrating a small act of kindness at home. Get them thinking outside the box when it comes to reaching these goals. </span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Mummy Snowy Owl</span></b></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">xx</span></b></p>

A mixture of old and new buildings, giving it an extraordinary, unique feeling. These are the reasons that will make you want to visit it!!!</span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiT-ZC-UeeQMEO0-zfckgIjheLEQ-fyQH7d6iQTNu5rW4sn38ufKuDohpU8p3lYI0sGSf_f6KvHL_LnwQFMYc04nfMIoZxrvaTHl6Zn9ZdhVk5yEFEpUhKn8ajcz-p27uqPm-vr9FWlKnvvLwY9d4dLIX7G6LYk6d-PSxDO5dgh7fMF0NgnH5IA_9LmEA=s1074" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Valencia white stone sign" border="0" data-original-height="806" data-original-width="1074" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiT-ZC-UeeQMEO0-zfckgIjheLEQ-fyQH7d6iQTNu5rW4sn38ufKuDohpU8p3lYI0sGSf_f6KvHL_LnwQFMYc04nfMIoZxrvaTHl6Zn9ZdhVk5yEFEpUhKn8ajcz-p27uqPm-vr9FWlKnvvLwY9d4dLIX7G6LYk6d-PSxDO5dgh7fMF0NgnH5IA_9LmEA=w640-h480" title="Valencia ~ Reasons Why It Should Be On Your Travel List" width="640" /></a></div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /><span><a name='more'></a></span>From medieval castles to modern and art deco aesthetic architectures, from small shops to large commercial and its strong card of quality choices in food and entertainment, Valencia is a city that has it all! <br /><br />Nevertheless, it is a fact that Valencia is a somewhat unjust city. It certainly does not "figure" in the first - or even in the second - choices of travellers wishing to visit Spain, since it has to compete with the famous Barcelona, the stately Madrid and magical <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andalusia">Andalusia</a>. Nevertheless, it is an exciting city, which pleasantly surprises anyone who chooses to dedicate the right time to it. <br /><br /><b>The Parks </b><br />Did you know that Valencia has the Largest Urban Park in all of Europe? The famous Jardins del Turia Park, formerly a river, which was moved south of Valencia due to its overflow in 1957, is just one of the five beautiful and well-organized parks in the city. A unique amusement park full of lakes, playgrounds and sports facilities, hiking trails, and remarkable natural beauty has made it one of the most attractive attractions in Valencia. What makes it unique is that each part has its own theme. This makes it ideal for evening trips, cycling, yoga classes, children's activities, skateboarding and relaxing moments in a natural "urban oasis". <br /><br /><b>The Medieval Sanctuary Of The City </b><br />Built on an ancient Roman temple and a former Jurassic Temple, Valencia Cathedral is a patchwork of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture. In fact, it is said that the Holy Grail is there! Yes! The same one that existed at the Last Supper! Right next door, there is a royal church adorned with majestic frescoes and the Miguelete Tower, from which you can enjoy the magnificent view of the city. Torres de Serranos and Torres de Quart, Valencia's two medieval gates, can also enjoy panoramic views. <br /><br /><b>Walk In The Central Market </b><br />The visit to the Central Market, or the city's central market, is a special gastronomic experience and a journey to the senses, full of colours and authentic aromas of the city! The market is housed in an impressive, art nouveau building, which isn't the only reason to visit.</span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiqIcPWXEtG1EO6JM_5eLsCSKJ566qQjZqEIkUVnUQ4ZPVOANyG5VZzCjlTHN-XBimLCJja99q7VLBzceZAUrWFbiX3UGj6_jenxyChBdOdzVm6EZnJmsBtp674sBOjTtkfB9Mzt1b2tBXqvfLUO_KLMPoK58uRSG71eh6s9BONPrFcFup1ohYXPb8X8A=s581" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Fruit market based in an art deco building" border="0" data-original-height="581" data-original-width="385" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiqIcPWXEtG1EO6JM_5eLsCSKJ566qQjZqEIkUVnUQ4ZPVOANyG5VZzCjlTHN-XBimLCJja99q7VLBzceZAUrWFbiX3UGj6_jenxyChBdOdzVm6EZnJmsBtp674sBOjTtkfB9Mzt1b2tBXqvfLUO_KLMPoK58uRSG71eh6s9BONPrFcFup1ohYXPb8X8A=w424-h640" title="Valencia ~ Reasons Why It Should Be On Your Travel List" width="424" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: arial;"><br />Colourful fruits and vegetables bearing the true aroma of the Mediterranean are gathered on the impressive stalls. Countless rows of traditional jamon are waiting to be tasted. The scents of freshly baked bread are delicious and delicious! The market size is quite large - with more than 1,000 counters - so we recommend that you walk around fearlessly and do not hesitate to try a little of everything! <br /><br /><b>A Walk On The Impressive Beaches Of Valencia </b><br />A city that is "bathed" by the sun for most of the year could not help but have a highly developed coastal area! Valencia has many beaches along its coastline, both organized and more "Western", and is an ideal destination for those who want to combine holidays in a modern city and nearby summer excursions by the sea! <br /><br />Must visit the beach "Las Arenas" which has taken its name from the vast golden water expanse. It is only two kilometres from the city centre and is easily accessible by public transport. It is organized while offering a variety of activities and snack bars, without missing the quietest places for those who want to relax away from the crowds! Of course, we suggest you visit all these fantastic beaches, in your own vehicle, because the route is absolutely magical. If you do not own a vehicle, you can choose a rental vehicle from the company <a href="https://www.enjoytravel.com/en/car-hire/spain">Enjoy Travel</a>, which offers you a huge range of vehicles at fantastic and affordable prices for every Spanish city.
<br /><br />So, is Valencia on your 2022 travel list?<br /><br /><b>Mummy Snowy Owl<br />xx</b></span>

Over the last few years new builds have risen in popularity, sometimes you’ll even find that apartment-style homes are being sold out before they’re even finished being built! There are a lot of questions and concerns for homebuyers about getting a brand new home. </span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;">Will it look good? Can it stand the tests of time? Are they safe? Are they even eco-friendly?<br /><br />There are a whole array of questions that are being asked and it’s completely understandable too! Newer built homes are coming out at a much faster rate so of course there will be questions about it. Whether you’re a first-time homebuyer, last-time buyer or anything in between, this post will get you the answers you need!</span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEimlfkwyrnmhDIhwmikzta-wlNSKM8Lc9tMYKO1Ug0n8U2RyWo2IdMpYmOrbjdOUVymtC-jx03pAD3jPNibB7hrD_FgRwUUwclJgMkTlvwnCL7p7LGVkoTnzdMTYYyM4hFEs_vH07O2N9CNh4P65r8SlgAJvc9BPhd2sYko2EfgvhHYV91lbmUAsboBmA=s1170" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: arial;"><img alt="Picture of a new home, with wood cladding and large windows" border="0" data-original-height="780" data-original-width="1170" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEimlfkwyrnmhDIhwmikzta-wlNSKM8Lc9tMYKO1Ug0n8U2RyWo2IdMpYmOrbjdOUVymtC-jx03pAD3jPNibB7hrD_FgRwUUwclJgMkTlvwnCL7p7LGVkoTnzdMTYYyM4hFEs_vH07O2N9CNh4P65r8SlgAJvc9BPhd2sYko2EfgvhHYV91lbmUAsboBmA=w640-h426" title="4 Perks To Buying A Brand New Home" width="640" /></span></a></div><div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><span><span style="font-family: arial;"><a name='more'></a></span></span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /><b>More Character</b><br />Just like older style homes have a lot of character, newer homes tend to have the same as well. Sometimes the buyer can even be a part of the developmental process so they can add their own finishing touches. It’s all really quite amazing! It’s always important to<a href="https://www.bellriverhomes.com.au/house-and-land/package-vs-building/"> compare your options</a>, see what’s available and what’s right for you. But you can definitely expect that there will be plenty of character if you buy a new home. They don't have to all be the same.<br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>More Room To Make The Changes You Want</b><br />That’s not to say you can’t with older homes too. But sometimes there is a bit of a risk when owning an older house. Depending on the significance of the house and the location it may become protected by the local government. Meaning that you will not be able to make any desired changes and even when it comes to renovations you’ll be needing to deal with getting things approved. For many this can become a major headache.<br /><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Affordable</b><br />In the long run a brand new house can be far more affordable. You’ll be less likely to deal with renovations, repairs, or any tune-ups within the first couple of years of living in it. The same can’t be said for an old house unfortunately where every turn you make, there’s something else that needs to be repaired.<br /><br /> While the lack of repairs is one way that a brand new house can be affordable another way would include the possibility of discounts. Sometimes discounts are offered for off-plan property purchases. Depending on your location, there may be a local government incentive to help out homebuyers too. Don’t forget about the water either, when it comes to older homes it can be more difficult with<a href="https://www.mummysnowyowl.com/2021/03/tidy-home-keeping-your-water-clean.html"> keeping your water clean</a> due to the old pipes.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /><b>Newer Homes Are Eco-Friendly</b><br />Now more than ever homes are eco-friendly, the newer ones at least. Some ways can include double glazing,<a href="https://www.rockwool.com/uk/products-and-applications/roof-insulation/"> roof insulation</a>, proofing, and so much more. This helps retain heat on the inside which leads to homeowners saving money on their energy bills. Older homes don’t necessarily have these and it will cost thousands of pounds or dollars just to have the old house fixed up. This is going to be terribly expensive in the long run. </span></div></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;">So now you've read the perks would you like to buy a new home?</span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Mummy Snowy Owl</b></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>xx</b></span></div>

Many people look forward to this season as it is an opportunity to wrap up the year on a joyful note. You may have gotten gifts for everyone else but yourself. You may also be occupied with last minute plans and <a href="https://www.mummysnowyowl.com/2019/11/family-christmas-traditions.html?m=1">family traditions</a>, forgetting to include yourself in your plans. However, you can pamper yourself without breaking the bank. </span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;">Here are some easy ideas to help you treat yourself this season.</span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhfOpHSP28vQMcYTHycxterjB_n6GKmxxdmWrsMAC6FgICMrlL3pK5NFt5oN1RMuCWIwV8w2t-Tk-h_mE5jICGrw0JIRmn_B2Qj3mykbCj2E3rvapf-9YoRgfxVPkA1VWbiOln8HYYY_8MPglVMtS2zbcquBwtKkcSxYYgrgb5Ui32OorJRLDjLWxq7dA=s509" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="A red flatlay with some wrapped gifts and a pinboard that says 'it's beginning to cost a lot like Christmas'" border="0" data-original-height="339" data-original-width="509" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhfOpHSP28vQMcYTHycxterjB_n6GKmxxdmWrsMAC6FgICMrlL3pK5NFt5oN1RMuCWIwV8w2t-Tk-h_mE5jICGrw0JIRmn_B2Qj3mykbCj2E3rvapf-9YoRgfxVPkA1VWbiOln8HYYY_8MPglVMtS2zbcquBwtKkcSxYYgrgb5Ui32OorJRLDjLWxq7dA=w640-h426" title="12 Budget Friendly Ways To Treat Yourself This Christmas" width="640" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span><a name='more'></a></span><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><br /></span></div><div><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>1. Buy Yourself A Gift</b><br /><br />Buying yourself a gift isn’t selfish. On the contrary, it’s a great way to appreciate yourself and celebrate any little milestones you may have achieved during the year. You can get something you’ve always wanted or a practical gift that will come in handy in your daily routine. You don’t necessarily have to spend too much to get a memorable gift. For instance, if you’re a fashion lover, you can get some of your favourite fashion pieces from <a href="https://outlet.theiconic.com.au/">THE ICONIC Outlet</a>. <br /><br /><b>2. Take Time Off</b><br /><br />If you’ve had a very busy year, taking some time off, even if it’s just a few hours or days can go a long way in relaxing you and providing just the treat you need. You can sit in a quiet place and reflect on your year. The quiet time will help put your thoughts in perspective and find things you can appreciate. You can also take a nap, no matter how brief, to refresh yourself and give you the energy you need for the season. <br /><br />Another great way to enjoy your time off is by simply doing nothing; having a day with no errands or duties. Having quality time with yourself is an easy way to treat yourself without doing too much. It will help if you put your phone away during this time to minimise any distractions.<br /><br /><b>3. Make A Christmas Playlist</b><br /><br />Compiling some of your best-loved Christmas songs can help set the season’s tone and be a great mood booster. You can enjoy this playlist on your own or with your loved ones. Having a Christmas playlist can offer you several fun activities such as singing along, dancing, relaxing on your couch with a cup of hot chocolate, your favourite blanket and your headphones, or simply listening to them while you go about your chores. <br /><b><br />4. Don’t Be Afraid To Ask For Help</b><br /><br />Sometimes Christmas preparations can be overwhelming. To help you feel less stressed, you can ask for help. Aside from making it easier for you to achieve your tasks, it also allows you to treat yourself by giving you a little more free time. You can find exciting ways to delegate tasks to your family and loved ones to make your workload easier. For instance, if your older kids love cooking or baking you can assign that to them while letting the younger ones set the table. You can also do your Christmas decorations and any decluttering you need to do, so you can finish quickly and focus on other tasks. <br /><br /><b>5. Spend Quality Time With Your Kids</b><br /><br />Spending quality time with your kids can be the perfect treat you need, especially if you haven’t had much time with them during the year. It helps you renew your bond and catch up on any moments you may have missed with them. You can do something exciting with them, such as staging or watching a Christmas play, making decorations, playing games together, or even trying some Christmas traditions such as making snowmen or s’mores. While you spend time with your kids, remember to also constantly check on your loved ones and stay connected. <br /><br /><b>6. Don’t Feel Bad For Saying No</b><br /><br />Christmas preparations often involve thinking about others and making sure they’re comfortable. However, taking on too many things could make you feel stressed and give you less time for yourself. You may sometimes need to say no to make time for yourself. For instance, if someone suggests you host the Christmas festivities in your home this time around, but you may not be able to, there’s no harm in turning it down. Another way of saying no is not feeling bad if you need to strictly stick to your budget and can’t afford to get everyone a gift this time around, such as your neighbours, colleagues, etc. If you’re not able to make it for all the holiday outings on your calendar, don’t be afraid to say no. <br /><br /><b>7. Have A Warm Bath</b><br /><br />A nice, warm bath can be a lovely treat during the cold season. If you’re not able to make time for a spa treatment or add it to your budget, a warm bath can also do the trick. You can add some extra elements to make this bath more relaxing, such as petals, salts, essential oils, etc., which will help you indulge your senses. You can also enhance the ambience by lighting a few scented candles and background music. <br /><br /><b>8. Look For Any Free Holiday Events You’ll Enjoy</b><br /><br />If you’re thinking of any exciting activities you can enjoy outdoors without exceeding your budget, you can search online or check your local calendar for any free events. Such events include festivals, free concerts, hangouts, etc. They’re a great way to have fun without worrying too much about breaking the bank. It’ll also give you some time to do something you enjoy or what you haven’t had time to do in a very long time. <br /><b><br />9. Try Holiday Inspired Aromatherapy </b><br /><br />A great way to pamper your senses and boost your mood during the festive season is through <a href="https://ahometogrowoldin.com/christmas-essential-oil-blends/">holiday-inspired aromatherapy</a>. You can create a fragrance that reminds you of the Christmas holidays by mixing ginger, cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg. You can also create a relaxing atmosphere by blending lavender, peppermint, and frankincense and placing them in a diffuser, so it spreads all over your home. <br /><b><br />10. Read A Christmas Novel</b><br /><br />Reading a Christmas novel is a great way to unwind and pamper yourself. Several options are available online, depending on your favourite genre. You can also try local bookstores near you if you prefer the traditional paperback. You can snuggle up in bed or on your couch and read a chapter a day or everything at once.<br /><br /><b>11. Learn Something New</b><br /><br />The Christmas season can be a great time to learn a new skill or something you’ve been meaning to gain experience in for some time. You can take a short online course in a field you enjoy, learn a new recipe, how to make your decorations and any other handy DIY tips. You can also get to know other people by spending more time with them if you can, such as your extended family and friends. <br /><br /><b>12. Spoil Yourself With A Makeover </b><br /><br />If you have some extra money on your Christmas budget, why not consider spoiling yourself with a makeover? It doesn’t have to be anything drastic. You can consider a new hairdo such as getting a low-maintenance haircut, a pedicure, facial, etc. If you don’t want to spend too much, you can hang out with your friends at home and catch up while doing one another’s nails, drinking your favourite wine, or watching a movie. <br /><br />Trying out these practical tips will help make the Christmas season more exciting, pamper yourself and have a memorable holiday. It can also help renew you physically and mentally. Remember to set a Christmas budget to guide you in your expenses throughout the festive season and help you save some money. </span><p><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>Mummy Snowy Owl</b></span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;"><b>xx</b></span></p></div></div></div></div>

Losing weight, quitting smoking and saving money are amongst the most common, whilst others may direct their efforts towards finding a new job or moving house.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">You might have your sights set on growing new skills to take your career to the next level. Or you may simply be looking to learn something new for your own enjoyment.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Whatever your goals for 2022, the benefits of mastering a new skill, whether for professional growth or a personal hobby, are many. With that in mind, these are just five fantastic opportunities to learn something new this New Year.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEigAiM7tHocr4qFtLvQEJ4NaBZyHwqYIG4T6uEaec3nfS0hMSlIrlFS2sWbyIpGudnGJEhfptfEp7GH_Q5vFOw8vMMfuXgxguH70KsczlIuZzpDiDE5nupjEIcYWcmXo1EbLm3En_YJSDqltcgW7Uzhsg4mY4ClVEyNkPFvXUtR0-39xhhJ_l7sXpeOlw=s1170" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Overhead shot of someone sitting at a laptop with a pile of books, notepad" border="0" data-original-height="780" data-original-width="1170" height="426" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEigAiM7tHocr4qFtLvQEJ4NaBZyHwqYIG4T6uEaec3nfS0hMSlIrlFS2sWbyIpGudnGJEhfptfEp7GH_Q5vFOw8vMMfuXgxguH70KsczlIuZzpDiDE5nupjEIcYWcmXo1EbLm3En_YJSDqltcgW7Uzhsg4mY4ClVEyNkPFvXUtR0-39xhhJ_l7sXpeOlw=w640-h426" title="3 Ways To Learn New Things In 2022" width="640" /></a></div><br /><span><a name='more'></a></span><p></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">1. Master A New Language</span></b></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Learning a new language is another common New Year’s Resolution. But like many, it’s one that gets swiftly abandoned – may you have an Italian phrasebook or French dictionary of your own left neglected somewhere?</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">A second language can be highly useful for international travel, but it’s also a powerful way to broaden the mind, stimulating your brain and broadening your attention span. Language learning programmes like Rosetta Stone also give you a flexible way to learn.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Alternatively, TESOL – teaching English to speakers of other languages – is a great way to gain appreciation for other languages. And with a professional qualification, such as an <a href="https://distancelearning.anglia.ac.uk/course/education/applied-linguistics-tesol-ma/"><b>Applied Linguistics & TESOL MA</b></a> from ARU, you can even open career opportunities in the UK and internationally.</span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">2. Pursue A Creative Hobby</span></b></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">There are plenty of talented artistes out there, but you don’t have to be one of them to enjoy a creative hobby.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">When it comes to artistic pursuits such as drawing, writing or picking up a musical instrument, many of us are deterred from trying our hands at these as adults. As a child, it’s easy – natural even – to do these things simply for the love of them, but as an adult we become self-conscious and self-critical, which can dampen our enjoyment. Arts and crafts are also a great way to get creative – <b><a href="https://acrylgiessen.com/en/resin-epoxy-art-basics-for-your-first-steps-in-resin-art/">resin art</a></b> is hugely popular right now, whilst hobbies like knitting and sewing are highly practical. These can be transformed into handmade gifts that friends and family will adore</span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">3. Build Learning Into Your Routine</span></b></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">If your New Year’s Resolution is to learn new things, you don’t have to commit to any single area of interest.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Whether you’re the type of person that likes to come to the pub quiz armed with general knowledge, an avid admirer of storytellers, or simply wish you knew more about a particular topic, we live in a golden era of information and there are more ways than ever to learn.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">Podcasts are more popular than ever after lockdown, and ideal for learners on the go, with plenty of <b><a href="https://www.marieclaire.com/culture/g31210369/best-educational-podcasts/">educational shows</a></b> targeted at inquisitive adults. Alternatively, if you’re a little too used to scrolling through Facebook on your daily commute, why not reach for a book instead?</span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial;">These are just three ways to expand your learning in 2022.</span></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">Mummy Snowy Owl</span></b></p><p><b><span style="font-family: arial;">xx</span></b></p>
