Some people love it. Some hate it. Christmas is often a love hate situation for a lot of people.
They may love spending time with family and friends. They might not.
They may like the run up. They may hate it.
Many of you know that I'm a fan of Christmas, some may say a Christmas Wanker. It's true. I love Christmas, but there have been times I haven't.
A few years ago I put the tree up and it stayed bare for a week. My mood took a dip and I couldn't face finishing it.
Then there's the hustle and bustle. Everyone rushing everywhere, like we don't know Christmas is coming at the same time every year.
Then there's the cost. Put Christmas or festive in front of anything and the price goes up.
All of these factors, and a few more, are the reason I plan so early.
I don't want to be elbow to elbow in the local shopping centre or supermarket days before Christmas Day. I don't want to be stressing over the cost and everything coming out of one pay packet. Particular when one us in the house is self employed (me), and you never know what things can look like month to month!!!
So I plan early. Spread the cost, and the stress. Do a little task each week, so by the time Christmas rolls around I'm drinking Baileys and eating stollen, and now queuing in the supermarket!!!
With many sharing Christmas in July, and as a Christmas lover/wanker, I wanted to share with you why I plan early and how I do it.
So, in September my Christmas planning series will return, and over the next week or two I'll be sharing some Christmas in July posts with gifts you should consider getting now, as predictions are saying they'll be popular!!!
Who's ready?
Katie
