Steak Salad With Schwartz

(Sponsored Post)

Working from home I often find I have the same things for lunch over and over again. The same ham sandwich. The same cheese on toast. The same soup. I've actually had soup so often that I currently can't even look at it, but I do like a warm lunch, especially on winter days.

Balancing the working from home life though, I don't want to spend ages cooking a hot lunch or tidying up after it! I'm all for something easy and quick but obviously tasty too. A lunch that can be quickly prepped, can be popped in the oven, cooked and come out perfect without being watched constantly. Minimal effort but great taste.

With this in mind I've come up with this easy to make steak salad. It's full of flavour and to be honest I could do with some leaves in my life!!

Large bowl filled with steak salad

Fancy giving it a try too? These ingredients will serve 1 person.

You will need.........

  • Small steak
  • Half a pepper
  • 4 spring onions
  • Rocket
  • Schwartz Pepper and Garlic Steak Seasoning
  • Chopping Board
  • Knife
  • Foil
  • Baking tray
Ingredients listed on a wooden chopping board for a knife

Preheat your oven to 180c. Wash the vegetables and chop the peppers and spring onions. I cut mine into quite small chunks so they cooked quickly.

Chopped peppers and onions

Chop the steak into small pieces and season well all over with the Schwartz Pepper and Garlic Steak Seasoning.

Layout a piece of foil and place the steak in the centre.

Seasoned steak on the foil

Place the peppers and spring onions on top of the steak and fold the foil together.

Place the foil parcel onto the baking tray, place in the oven and cook for 15 minutes. Take care when opening the foil as the steam will escape.

Add a couple of handfuls of the washed rocket to a bowl or plate and add the now cooked steak, peppers and onions.

Eat and enjoy!! Honestly, this is the best lunch I've made in ages, and it shows that with a little bit of prep and some good seasonings, a quick, easy, warm and yummy lunch can be done quite simply!!

I'm looking forward to having it again already!
