I Failed My 19 Books For 2019 Challenge!!

I failed!! The challenge I set myself to read 19 books for 2019 was unsuccessful. I only managed 4!

But I'm all about honesty here at Mummy Snowy Owl and lets be honest it was a ridiculous challenge!

Shelves filled with books with some in the foreground and some in the background

I can often take a year to read a book, so I'm not really sure what I was thinking! Well, I do a little bit! The thing is I love books! I buy them, I borrow them, loan them and get them as gifts, but I find I don't always have the time to read them.

If I'm away from home though you will often find me with my head in a book, quickly reading it cover to cover. The books I did get finished were mostly read during our time away in our trusty old caravan, with no phone signal or TV and limited wifi. The moment we returned to our tech based world the book went down and I'd be more likely to scroll social media or houses I can't afford on Rightmove, than pick a book up!

But I feel more relaxed reading and I definitely sleep better having settled down with my book. So, I'm setting myself another challenge to bring that feeling back. It was nearly a 20 books for 2020 challenge and then I realised that was a bit, well, stupid! Let's go for 10 books!

I'm picking a selection from those I didn't read and they will be.............

Walt Disney - An American Original by Bob Thomas
A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
Mary Poppins - The Complete Collection by P.L. Travers
The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
The Secret by Rhonda Byrne
Walt Disney - The Biography by Neal Gabler
Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling
Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling
Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling
Whiskey in a Teacup by Reese Witherspoon
