Our Favourite Baby & Toddler Books

We love a good book and since JJ was a tiny tot he's loved being read to. Whether it be at home or nursery, out and about or at Granny's, he will often have a book with him. We even have a selection of his favourite books in our caravan for when we're away!

Like many kids though, JJ would get obssessed with a book and we would read it over and over for a week. This lead me to create our Book of the Week posts, where I shared our current obsession and there's some very random choices.

Now, his choices are a bit more varied and change from one minute to the next! But we've not forgotten those days of reading the same book over and over. With this in mind I've put together a list of books that are great for babies and toddlers. So whether you're starting a book collection for your children or are looking for some new additions this list of ten of our favourite books for babies and toddlers is for you.

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?

The Hungry Caterpillar

We're Going On A Bear Hunt

The Gruffalo

The Gruffalo's Child

Stick Man

The Smartest Giant in Town

The Tiger Who Came to Tea

That's Not My......

Tickle, Tickle Peter

What we love about these books is the rhyming, unusual tales or sensory elements that keep little ones engaged in the story, which then helps children develop a love for books. I also like that nearly all of these titles are available as a board book and are currently around £5!

If you're budget doesn't stretch to this though, signup your child to your local library and borrow from there and enjoy reading to your little one.
