Sprucing Up Your Home & Redecorating With I Want Wallpaper

[Sponsored Post]

Strange fact about me. I relate the smell of paint and fresh gloss to Christmas!!

I grew up thinking it was completely normal to see your Mum on her hands and knees glossing skirting board in between wrapping Christmas presents. I thought everyone's Dad's finished off their kitchen extensions on Christmas Eve and it's pretty normal to have an electrician kneeling on your worktop among the Christmas cakes and mince pies your Mum has made and baked for various family and friends, right?

Well, it wasn't until years into grownup life that I realised it's not actually that normal at all! That said, I always get the urge to spruce things up over Christmas time. A deep clean here, a lick of paint there, I guess it's a bit of a habit I've picked up from my childhood! Either way, Christmas and New Years always make me feel ready to freshen things up, although my husband tries his best to put me off the work until the hustle and bustle of the festive period is over!

I know lots of you would probably hate the mess of decorating before Christmas but I also know that lots of you like to make a start once all the decorations are gone. Once the tree is packed away for another year, everything looks a little bare, making it the perfect time to bring in some new deco to brighten things up.

After Christmas the first room I want to tackle and redecorate is our son's room. Now 5, his room hasn't been decorated since he was a bump! We've changed the accessories and the curtains but there's been lots of play and fun so the walls are looking a little tired!!

After our, well the husband's, first attempt at wallpapering went quite well we've decided that we'll probably paper our son's room. With this in mind I've been having a browse on I Want Wallpaper

There's lots of themes for kids rooms available including cute stars, bright rainbows, dream catchers, unicorns, Disney and dinosaurs.

It's likely we'll be heading in the superhero direction and I Want Wallpaper have got a variety of styles to choose from including Marvel and DC. We could go for the usual wallpaper but they also offer murals too.

Plus, their range includes bedding, so you can get lots of what you need for a room make over in one go, not just the wallpaper.

If you're thinking of decorating in the New Year head over to I Want Wallpaper here to look at their range. Plus you can also get 20% off using the code katie20 (not applicable to sale items).

Happy decorating!
