I've already shared a gift for the super social friends, the interior lovers and the stylish and sustainable family, now it's time for a gift for the family that love to play board games together.
My pick for A Snowy Christmas Gift Guide for the family that loves to play board games is Shark Chase.
To play Shark Chase each player picks a colour and gathers their sea creatures together. Each creature is worth a different amount of points and once the board is set up a row of creatures is set up behind the shark.
The shark is then turned on to start chomping and it's a race to roll the dice as quickly as possibly to beat the shark before it has time to come round and eat your sea creatures.
Both of the dice show a colour and when your colour comes up it's time to move your creature. I did the rolling so it was a little quicker. If your creatures make it round before the shark chases them down you pop them to safety on the middle island. Whoever has the most points at the end is the winner!
Now, I'll tell you that that shark comes around quicker than you can expect! This makes the game very quick and exciting! I'll be quite honest and tell you that there was a lot of screaming and laughter as we played Shark Chase. It also helped our 5 year old son, JJ, practice his quick thinking and speed skills.
We've played Shark Chase a lot since it's arrival and as we're in the hustle and bustle of Christmas is brought some much needed light relief! It's lots of fun and playable from age 4+, it means lots of the family can join in.
