Welcome back to A Very Snowy Christmas, 16 Weeks For An Organised Christmas!!! It's week 9!!! Let's go!!!
This week we're going to do a bit more planning!!! And if you're the type of person that has a bit of a last minute panic when you realise you've not left space for hair appointments or the kids school events this week is for you.
This week we're going to book our hair and beauty appointments up until the New Year so we can make sure we get the appointments we need to fit our schedules.
If you've got kids, they might be currently on half term or about to go back and school should be giving out dates of the festive events. My son's school have a new Head Teacher and he's giving us plenty of notice for dates but the times were missing and a couple weren't clear if it was just something for the kids or if the parents should be going too. So, I dropped an email and got some clarification. I didn't want to be THAT Mum that asked about Christmas after the latest October newsletter but it did mean I can plan around it and other family members can come too as they were given notice.
The next thing we're going to do is another task for those of you that have kids. We've made our Christmas gifts lists already. Did you include your own kids on that list and if so have you made a start of their gifts yet? If you're reading this and thinking I don't even know what to get them, use the following as a guideline.
Something they want, something they need, something to wear, something to read.
Our son got really overwhelmed the first few Christmases so we decided for our gifts we would try to keep to the rhyme above. There's sometimes some extras but we keep this as a framework and go from there. My Mum also does the same for him. This is also ideal if you're on a budget and this definitely helped on those Christmases that we struggled and things were tight on us financially.
That's it for this week. Check back next week for week 10!!!
