Christmas At Wollaton

(Gifted)

Christmas is right around the corner and we've been looking to do something a little festive! So many things though have ended up cancelled or availability lessened because of a certain virus doing the rounds.

A couple of the things we did have planned had to be cancelled because of a positive test in our house! Once we were able to roam free again we were keen to get in the Christmas mood!! So when the team behind Christmas at Wollaton contacted us and asked if we'd like to experience their very special Christmas lights there was a big.......YES......from all of us.

Based at Wollaton Hall and Park in Nottingham, Christmas at Wollaton, sees the hall and it's gardens transformed into a twinkling winter wonderland.

A trail that leads you along the front of the hall, through it's woods, gardens and greenhouse to an amazing projection on the the rear of the hall, brings you lots to see.

It is a stunning walkway of colours, twinkly lights and lanterns. I especially liked the lantern style animals.

There's lots of great spots to snap a picture and along the star walkway there is a member of staff available to snap a photo, meaning you can get that all elusive family group picture!!

At the end of the walk way there are food and refreshments available. Starting at £3.50 for a tray and chips and around £5 for a burger, dependent on which you pick. There's also carvery cobs or wraps available, along with sweets, doughnuts and churros. There are also stalls part way round the walk offering hot chocolate, which I definitely recommend! There's also the chance to toast marshmallows!!

Prices for entry start at £14.30 for a child and £19.80 for an adult. There are discounts available for family tickets and if you book a Twlight Experience there are some extras included. There's also a discount available if you live in the Nottngham City boundary. You'll just need your address and Council Tax number!
