Spikey is a brand new children's story book, aimed at children from ages 2 to 8. Written by TV presenter and journalist, Tereza Anteneova, Spikey is inspired by her childhood trips to the countryside.
Hedgehogs are said to be one of the UK's favourite native animals so why not go on a little adventure with Spikey! Our poor little hedgehog friend is lonely and alone in London and needs to figure how to survive the winter months. Spikey goes off on an adventure into the big, wide world, with just his grandmothers wise words to guide him.
Making friends and learning some lessons along the way. There's also lessons for the readers to learn including, what they eat, their homes, why they are at risk and how we can help our little prickly friends.
Beautifully illustrated, Spikey is an engaging and easy to follow story that can be read to younger readers and read independently by older ones.
We loved reading about Spikey's adventures. I especially loved that it educates through the story, as well as the questions to prompt conversation. Our 7 year old son loved the cute hedgehog! It will definitely be popular with animal lovers.
