A Little Bit Of Pampering With Your Massage Clinic

There are two things that I've decided to do more of over the last few months. One is to support more local and independent businesses. The other is to try and take a little time out to pamper myself and have some me time. Something to make me feel a little like my old self.

Pampering yourself at home though, isn't always easy. You have a soak in the bath and someone needs to use the loo. You pop on a face mask on and scare the kids.

So, when a brand new local business, Your Massage Clinic, asked me if I'd like to try a little bit of pampering, I of course said yes and did a little happy dance.

Situated in Beeston, Nottinghamshire, Your Massage Clinic is well placed in the town centre, with easy parking and transport links. Offering facials, a selection of holistic treatments and a variety of massages, the clinic, and it's creator Jo, have rapidly grown in popularity. All COVID guidelines are also met, meaning you can relax safely.

For my pampering I picked the 60 minute facial. Now, I've had facials in the past, with beauticians, salons and spas, but out of all of them I can honestly say that the facial that I had with Jo at Your Massage Clinic is the best I've ever had.

Prior to treatment I filled out a questionnaire about my health and my previous experience of massage and facials. It also asked what type of pressure you like during your treatment and I personally think this really tailor-makes your treatment. Often you can have a facial or massage and the pressure not be as you want it but the quick questionnaire really makes a difference.

The treatment starts with a weighted blanket being laid across your body to aid your relaxation and is topped with hot stones. Relaxing music and a variety of scents set the scene for your treatment. My skin was deeply cleansed and treated, with cucumbers placed on my eyes.

My shoulders, arms, neck and scalp were also massaged, with just the right amount of pressure. Any stiffness in my neck and shoulders was rubbed away and I felt the most relaxed I had in years!! I also had the best nights sleep I've had in a very long time.

Priced at £45, the facial is definitely something I will be doing again, especially as I've seen a huge improvement in my skin. I've had a couple of problem areas develop from wearing a face mask and since the facial a couple of weeks ago it has really cleared up.
