What to do when there's nothing to do.

We've all been there. It's raining. Pay day is further away than you'd like. You're stuck inside with the kid(s) and there's no escape. Need to hurry the time along? Try one of my something to do when there's nothing to do ideas!

Make a den – Sheets, sofas and cushions can create all manner of adventures and hideouts!

Bake and cook – Check what you have in the fridge and cupboards. You might have enough to whip up a batch of fairy cakes or jam tarts

Plate of jam tarts with heart tops

Have an indoor picnic – Lay down a blanket and pretend the rain has gone by having a picnic indoors.

Boogie on down - Pop on the radio or a kid friendly music channel and get your grove on!

Dancing toddler

Dress up - Got a stack of fancy dress clothes? Get them out and get creative.

Little boy dressed as a knight

Get musical - Got pasta and rice? Plastic containers or bottles? Combine the two and make some cool sounds together!

Hopefully these ideas will help you on rainy days, the "I'm bored days" and what do do when there's nothing to do!

Enjoy

This is a lovely list, though. I haven't done any of these in far too long. I'll have to try to find some time :) #AnythingGoes
