Book of the week!

With the Christmas and New Year behind us here's a new non-festive book of the week, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?

Book cover

This little book by Bill Martin has been a firm favourite in our house since Joseph started nursery in 2015. Its a favourite of many of the children at his nursery, as well as a number of others we know.

Our version is a sturdy board book, which has stood the test of time i.e. sick, poo and drool!!!

The illustrations by Eric Carle are distinctive and colourful, with similarities to his book The Hungry Caterpillar.

Inside the book, showing brown bear

The book opens, as expected, with Brown Bear. We ask what he sees. He sees a red bird looking at him. Then we ask Red Bird what he sees and so on.

Inside the book showing a blue horse

This was one of the very first books that caught Joseph's attention as a baby. The bright colours and big animals as well as the repetitive rhythm kept him engaged. Its become a firm favourite all over again this week!

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, should definitely be on your list if you're starting your baby's book collection. Our copy was a gift from Joseph's Grandma but you can get a copy from Amazon here.

Enjoy
