Book of the week!

This week's book of the week is Ladybird's Traditional Tales for Boys.

Traditional Tale For Boys book

The brightly coloured cover has lured Joseph in over of the last few days and so have the stories.

There are six classic tales in total. Jack and The Beanstalk, The Gingerbread Man, The Pied Piper of Hamelin, The Three Little Pigs, The Elves and The Shoemaker and The Three Billy Goats Gruff.

The book is full to the brim of eye catching and engaging illustrations and the stories are well written.

I do though give you a few words of warning. These are traditional fairy tales and some of them don't have the fluffy endings that we, and possibly our little ones, are use to.

In The Gingerbread Man, our poor little biscuit friend is eaten by a sly fox and I knew that the Pied Piper led the children away but I thought they came back? Do they? No! They're stuck in the mountain whilst the old man looks for them! So if sad endings aren't for you skip those ones or try something different.

Apart from that its a good book to have in your collection if you want some classic, more traditional tales.

Ours was purchased as a gift from Aldi but you can also get a copy from The Works and The Book Depository.

Enjoy your reading!
